Another chillaxing week in Mariners 2. I was very lucky to see seals feeding and a humpback whale putting on a show right outside. Porthleven is a truly magical place.

Perfect view.

The property was very clean and comfortable. An excellent location, and we had a really enjoyable time.

Wonderful location. Clean and very comfortable holiday cottage. We were visiting in late October so very dramatic weather, atmospheric. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic cottage in a great location. The cottage was immaculate with great facilities and attention to detail. On arrival we found a welcome pack with Cornish biscuits and apple juice which was a lovely touch. Very well equipped and stocked up with cleaning products, washing up liquid, soaps, etc. Would definitely recommend the property.

Lovely cottage with the best view ever. I never tire of the dramatic sunsets and crashing waves.

This is our second stay at the property and love it there….the views are breathtaking and the property feels like home, comfortable with everything you need.

Our only concern was the shortage of glasses, there were only two champagne flutes and not the oven grill takes ages to warm up.

Having been to this cottage many times, this was the first year that we have experienced any issues at all with the standard of cleanliness. Additionally, the building's fabric now clearly needs some TLC. Firstly, the extractor fan in the bathroom was really badly clogged with dust and the bathroom radiator's pipework had also not recently been dusted. Elsewhere, whilst obviously vacuumed prior to our arrival, the landing and stairs carpeting have now clearly come to the end of their life. As to the building itself, in the main bedroom there was broken plaster coming away on the front wall, as there was too, adjacent to the right-hand side of the main pair of patio doors. We appreciate that the sea-facing walls are always going to put the interior under pressure from the progression of damp, but in all our previous stays, Mariners 2 has always been immaculate, top to bottom. We are still very much looking forward to our fortnight holiday there in September next year.

A fantastic house in a spectacular setting – makes a great base for exploring The Lizard and the far south-west.

A week in this lovely cottage is just not long enough, very comfortable, home from home! We love Porthleven and I'm sure we will return as it draws you back each time . . . many thanks for the wine and flower, and for sharing this lovely place with us.

Another lovely holiday in Mariners II, apart from the usual trips to Falmouth and Penzance, no need to venture far from Porthleven, it has all you could want. Mariners II is a wonderful base, we so look forward to each visit.

Everything we could wish for has been provided with this exquisite location and accommodation. Well done to the owners.
