Holiday Cottages in Yorkshire
The White Rose county has more for you to discover than you could ever imagine…
Where do you start with a county like Yorkshire? At around 12,000 square kilometres it’s the largest county in the UK by far, and yet it’s still crammed full of things to do and see. If you’re an outdoors type then you’re spoilt for choice as Yorkshire has nearly one-third of England’s National Parkland, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and three sections of coastline designated as ‘Heritage Coast’. Ride through the heather of the North York Moors, explore the hills and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales, or walk along one of the most dramatic coastlines in the country.
There are over eight hundred attractions to visit in the county, including a UNESCO World Heritage site, ruined castles, fascinating cities and picturesque villages. Even if you managed to squeeze in two visits a day it would still take you over two years to see everything that Yorkshire has to offer. This is a county that you’ll want to return to time and time again.
