Cottages in Porthleven

Porthleven in West Cornwall is the ideal holiday destination for those seeking sea, sand and sunshine. We have a large collection of holiday cottages in Porthleven for you to explore. The majority of our Porthleven holiday homes are also dog-friendly, as are many of the local beaches, including Porthleven Beach which has a designated all-year dog-friendly section on its eastern side. We also have a select amount of luxury cottages in the area and across Cornwall, handpicked by our local experts and maintained to the highest standards.

Porthleven is a wonderful maritime town, built around its picturesque, historic harbour. It is a truly wonderful holiday location, where the beach is only a short walk from the bustling town centre, which makes it a perfect spot for exploring local boutiques, rock pooling or simply lazing in the warm Cornish sunshine. You can also take the opportunity to explore the local area by joining the famous South West Coast Path, perhaps walking to Praa Sands just 4.5 miles away.

Porthleven is also regarded as an increasingly important destination for ‘foodies’ with a tempting array of gastronomic delights across the town’s cafes, pubs and restaurants. Local delis sell a tasty selection of cold meats, sandwiches and even wood-fired pizzas. You can also visit Sea Drift, a friendly cafe serving a whole range of excellent fish and meat dishes, while Kota, and Kota Kai Kitchen Bar, specialise in local produce with an Asian twist.

Fishermen still operate out of the harbour and angling trips are available, sailing visitors down to the seaside villages around the Lizard peninsula. The village also hosts the RNLI Lifeboat Day in the summer and the popular Porthleven Food Festival in spring. Whatever you are looking for from your holiday, there is a good chance that it’s waiting for you in Porthleven.
