Reviews

This cottage is absolutely stunning, and equipped to a very high standard. Yes, the beams are low, the floors are wonky, the stairs are steep, but this all adds to it's charm. It is a perfect mix of original with modern facilities, and the location is to die for - the best in St Ives. We had the most wonderful week in Mermaid Cove.

Mrs J,

The cottage is old and quirky with creaky floors and staircases but this only adds to its charm. The property has everything from fully equipped kitchen to relaxing lounge and comfortable bed .We had an amazing time and experience in this accommodation and would highly recommend a visit. The views from every window is stunning and picturesque.. we will definitely be returning in the future .

Mr L,

Romantic, convenient and picturesque. Everything my partner and I wanted for a week away in Cornwall.

Ms R,

My husband and I loved this beautiful cottage. It was just perfect for us, well equipped, incredibly comfortable, great location right on the beach. We will definitely return. Thank you

Mrs C,

Fantastic location with wonderful views over the beach. Close to everything and yet quiet. Comfortably furnished, if maybe a little cluttered. The kitchen is well equipped, but the lack of a proper table and chairs (a collapsible table is provided) means that it isn’t ideal for eating in. Breakfast on the terrace is, however, a real treat.

Mrs L,

Probably the best cottage location in st ives

Mr B,

Amazing location and cottage was gorgeous with amazing access to beach, only hesitation to book again was impracticle and loud metal bed that made it hard to get a good night's sleep

Mr W,

A little bit of paradise. We had a wonderful week and will definitely be coming again. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed. Some may prefer a stand alone shower but the bath is lovely. Having the beach on your door step is a treat. Feel very lucky to have found this.

Mrs S,

Very well equipped charming cottage .All mod cons set in an ancient cottage in the most iconic position in St Ives .Will be back .

Mr B,

Wonderful cottage, wonderful position on the beach and we would love to return but will not do so before a safety handrail has been added to the very steep difficult stairs.

Mrs Lovelock H,

The cottage is in prime location with spectacular views. The house is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Only downside is the height of the roofs/beams. The stairs are quite interesting to get up/down because of this….so just be aware if you’re tall (I’m 5.8 and had issues)

Miss C,

Lovely cosy quirky cottage, great location, nice welcome box. Very clean. Nice toiletries. Just sort out creaky bed and it would be perfect...

Mrs B,

Absolutely amazing quirky cottage ..cannot fault for location ..bear in mind the stairs could do with some sort of hand rail xx loved every second x

Mr I,

Great location, well equipped kitchen but a bit tricky if you are over 5ft 11in tall! Really comfortable and cosy. Highly recommended

Ms F,

Location

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist. It's easy to understand why the town has been attracting painters, sculptors and ceramists for decades with its stunning scenery and natural quality of light- one of only four Tate Galleries in the world is located here in the heart of the town. The town itself arcs around the working harbour- the heart of the historic fishing community. You could lose yourself for hours in the charming cobbled streets which are crammed with gift and craft shops, art galleries, top notch restaurants and welcoming local pubs- a real treasure trove just waiting to be explored!

St Ives also has four fabulous beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour beach and Porthminster which between them offer miles of golden sand and hours of building sand castles, playing in the rock pools and other family friendly activities. Dogs are welcomed out of season. Throughout the year, St Ives has a busy event calendar including the St Ives Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September.
