Description
This attractive detached cottage sits in enclosed gardens at the side of a quiet country lane near Brithdir and Torrent Walk, about 3 miles east of Dolgellau and surrounded by the superb scenery of the south Snowdonia National Park. It enjoys stunning views of Cadair Idris and is ideally placed for walking, birdwatching and mountain biking. It is a 15 minute walk to the Cross Foxes Inn.
This traditionally presented cottage benefits from several modern conveniences, such as telephone, WiFi and oil-fired central heating.
Sitting Room: with comfortable seating, open fire (initial fuel supplied), flat screen Freesat TV, DVD player, WiFi and phone.
Kitchen Diner: dining area with table and six chairs and mountain views; white fitted kitchen with electric oven, ceramic hob, extractor hood, fridge, small table top freezer and dishwasher. Door to rear porch, where there is a Utility cupboard with washing machine.
Bathroom: situated on the ground floor, with contemporary white suite; P shaped bath with electric shower over, WC, basin, shaver point, illuminated mirror, heated towel rail.
First Floor:
Bedrooms: three traditionally furnished bedrooms: double and bunks (only suitable for children)with mountain views and a single overlooking the rear garden.
Outside: enclosed, lawned garden with barbecue, slate patio and garden furniture and mountain views.
Parking: small layby space on the opposite side of the narrow lane.
Barmouth, a popular seaside town with long sandy beach and promenade, and Fairbourne, with beach and narrow gauge railway, are each about 12 miles away, either side of the Mawddach Estuary, with the Mawddach Trail providing fairly level walking and cycling. Nature Reserve at Penmaenpool, 5 miles, Coed-y-Brenin, for mountain biking and forest walks, about 10 miles away. This is an excellent location for touring the south Snowdonia National Park, mountains, lakes and stunning coastline, and an ideal base for climbing the mysterious Cadair Idris, Snowdonia’s second highest peak.
