Description
A great choice for families and friends, this charming, Victorian, terraced house is in a residential part of Brighton only a mile from the beach, pier and city centre, and less than half a mile from the Seven Dials area, where there are wine bars, pubs, delicatessens, artisan bakers, a small supermarket and a range of cafes and restaurants with international cuisines. The bohemian North Laine neighbourhood, with its independent shops and a wide choice of places to eat and drink, is also only half a mile away. A couple of must-sees while in the area are the Royal Pavilion, a Grade-I listed former royal residence, and the i360, a 450’-high glass pod with panoramic views, and you may also enjoy the Brighton Toy and Model Museum and the Booth Museum of Natural History – all within a mile of the property. Getting out and about, Sussex is home to the largest number of vineyards in the country, including Ridgeview Wine Estate (9.5 miles), where you can tour the vineyard, taste the wine and enjoy a meal in the year-round restaurant.
This welcoming, dog-friendly cottage has a cosy sitting room with a bay window, stripped-wood floor and ornamental fireplace. The kitchen features an array of top-of-the-range integrated appliances and a breakfast bar for snacks, while the separate dining room is perfect for dinner parties. On the first floor is a spacious king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a cosy double bedroom and a family bathroom. There is a further bedroom on the second floor, with the double bed tucked under the sloping ceiling with skylights, giving slightly restricted head height on one side.
The kitchen has a glazed door that leads to an enclosed courtyard strung with decorative lights. With a table and four chairs, plus two deckchairs, this is a lovely place in which to while away some sunny hours or get together for an al fresco meal.
