Description

Enjoy a traditional seaside holiday in this fabulous family home in the heart of the popular coastal town of Southwold. The property sleeps five guests and would make a great base for a family or a group of friends. Stroll out of your front door and into the bustling coastal town (just 0.3 miles), which is bursting with adorable independent boutiques and fantastic eateries. Southwold boasts beautiful sandy beaches and, for the full seaside experience, you can hire one of the town’s iconic colourful beach huts. From Southwold, a 1.5-mile stroll or a short ride on the seasonal foot ferry will take you to the charming neighbouring village of Walberswick. Children will love playing in the dunes that run alongside the beach, tucking into ice creams, exploring the quirky Southwold pier, and joining the locals to go crabbing on the bridge at Walberswick. There are some excellent family attractions in Suffolk, including Oasis Camel Park (15.3 miles) and Africa Alive (8.3 miles).

Peter Duck is a truly charming holiday home with an eclectic style, with intriguing artwork and collectables dotted throughout the property. At the heart of the home is a spacious lounge, with plump sofas and a colourful window seat where you can relax and watch the world go by. On a chilly evening, fire up the wood burner and get cosy with a book or your favourite film on the TV/DVD. The quirky kitchen/diner has a dining table for sharing mealtimes together and opens out onto the stylish veranda so you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the summer months. All three light and fresh bedrooms are located on the first floor. There are two double bedrooms, and a single bedroom with an additional pull-out bed to accommodate another guest if needed. Completing the property is the family shower room.

Outside, a decked veranda provides the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or glass of wine at the end of a busy day. The veranda looks out over a mature garden, with pretty trees and shrubs and other alternative private seating areas. For more space for the dog to run, or children to burn of energy, Tibby's Green Playground is just 0.1 miles and sits alongside the stunning St Edmunds Church.
