With the cold Great British winter drawing to a close it’s time to start preparing for a traditional summer of fun-filled festivals! We’ve cherry picked a handful of music festivals from around the UK and, (although it was a tough choice!), narrowed it down to our favourite three…

Green Man Festival

There’s no hiding that August is the month for festivals with the huge 20,000 capacity Green Man Festival taking place this year on 18-20th August in the Welsh Brecon Beacons.

This awesome festival goes as far as to state that jumping around in a field is a human need (and we tend to agree with them)! There’s loads on offer with live music ranging from Rock and Indie all the way to Folk.

But the four days won’t just be filled with music - entertainment includes comedy stages, theatre performances and even all night bonfires which add to the unique identity of this event. The Green Man Festival has yoga classes as well to take away the stresses of life and after one of these you can take the time to relax in the UK's only double decker hot tub bus.

We have plenty of wonderful cottages dotted around the Brecon Beacons for you to unwind at after you’ve taken in everything this festival has to offer.

V Festival

With tickets just released for its 21st birthday in 2016 there was no way we could leave out V Festival. Grab your wellies and throw on the brightest colours you can find as this annual event is jam packed with entertainment!

This year's lineup presents some of the most-loved artists across a range of genres with Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Kaiser Chiefs and David Guetta just to name a few.

Falling on the penultimate weekend in August, V Festival is held at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire, giving you the choice of two venues to dance and sing your worries away.

Latitude Festival

Last, but by no means least, allow us to introduce Latitude Festival. Taking place this year from Thursday 14th July to Sunday 17th July, tickets are already available for this family-friendly festival. Its venue is Henham Park, located near Southwold, Suffolk and as a result, you will be spoilt for choice for cottages to choose from whilst enjoying lively Latitude!

The festival itself has a whole range of music genres available to suit your mood but perhaps it’s regular comparison to continental European festivals is due to its ability to allow festival-goers to enjoy cultural aspects like comedy, theatre, poetry and literature too.

Latitude Festival is ideal for the whole family to enjoy together. It’s even planning to present an interactive experience to celebrate the Wondercrump World of famous author, Roald Dahl.

So whichever festival you choose this summer, or even if you decide to experience all three, we’re sure you’ll have an adventure!
