Description

Wolsey Cottage is a very comfortable, well furnished bungalow, with a lovely modern open plan kitchen/dining room overlooking a beautiful rear garden.  It is in an attractive location with stunning views over open fields and marshes, just ideal for bird watching. It is located in a quiet area, yet only a ten minute walk from Southwold town centre, the golf course and tennis courts on the Common. The mostly sandy end of the beach, together with the much acclaimed pier and footpaths towards Easton Bavents are all just a five minutes walk away.  The bungalow is set well back from the road with a large drive suitable for two cars and for the less mobile there is a slope at the side of the property which avoids climbing the steps up to the front door. Southwold Pier Area - It is often said that nothing changes in Southwold. However, the much-acclaimed pier was rebuilt in 2001 and was the first to be constructed in England in over fifty years. It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. This property is set in an ideal location in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation, that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes that lead to the less explored areas of the town.

Reviews

Beautifully presented clean and comfortable bungalow in a terrific location with dedicated parking and a lovely mature garden. We really enjoyed our week here.

Mr L,

Avery quiet location, but not too far for shops & pub. Parking in the town is easy & we always found a free space. The kitchen looked new & had all the required space & sitting for eating. The beds were very comfortable, so was the lounge chairs. Bathroom shower was good once we got to know how to work it, as in getting the correct hoy/cold. We did not try the dish washer as there was only the two of us, but the washing machine operated & washed well.

Mr W,

Wolsey Cottage is a lovely homely property with parking and gardens. It's within easy walking distance of the sea, town and harbour, and it provided everything we needed.

Mrs W,

Great location, short walk to the beach and into town. Lovely garden to the back and nice modern well equipped kitchen.

Mr G,

Had a great holiday. Summer house was a major attraction. Very generous welcome pack appreciated. A little surprised that, in the home of Adnam's brewery, the only glasses were very small !
