Reviews

The cottage has had an internal make over which has really made it very pleasant, including a new cooker and carpets. It is a great location to base your self, park up the car and travel by historical transport.

Mr F,

Fantastic place, in a great location which feels warm and comfortable. We will certainly be booking again.

Mr V,

Four of us plus our dog had a lovely three night break in this property over the August bank holiday weekend. The main reason for choosing this accommodation was its proximity to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and as far as that goes, well you couldn’t get any closer! Watching the activity on the station and the locomotives passing by was a real highlight. The cottage itself was spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. Lots of railwayana dotted about the place which is a nice touch. We had an issue midway through our stay with the hot water but this was quickly resolved. We would definitely return.

Mr R,

Fabulous location, great for families and dogs. Lovely property but It is in need of a deep clean. We are not clean freaks by any stretch of the imagination (3kids and dog!!) but as the stay went on we noticed more and more dust and dirt which has clearly been there a long time. We’ve paid less for other properties which have been cleaner and also been left with basics such as washing up liquid. Also needs a pair of scissors and the first aid kit was years out of date and no plasters. However this did not ruin our stay.

Mrs Felicity D,

Everything was great apart from the promises for logs to be left..but that was rectified quickly. Also standard of cleaning left alot.to be desired this time. Place hadn't been properly.dusted. we did that ourselves.

Mrs Victoria W,

Great location for a peaceful family holiday before Christmas. The kids loved the Santa special train ride over the weekend. We're already booked in again for next year

Mr Chris G,

Loved the cottage, the proximity to the station meant we had a front row seat to see the steam trains. Not noisy at all which I was worried about. Beautiful surroundings, like stepping back in time. Ver cosy and comfortable. Would have loved a dishwasher but really everything was just perfect. Wil be returning.

Mrs Deborah W,
