The owner personally oversees the running of the cottage and provides an extensive welcome pack and other little touches that make all the difference.

This much loved family friendly holiday home is in a secluded location on St James Green and offers cosy yet modern cottage style accommodation with eclectic, coastal style interiors. The two bedroom accommodation is ideal for four guests with two gorgeous bedrooms, consisting of a double and a twin. The pretty sitting room has plenty of comfy sofas, comfortable seating, a dining table and chairs and an extensive book collection. An archway leads into the cottage style fitted kitchen which is very well equipped and kitted out with everything you’ll need for your self catering holiday in Southwold. Outside, the beautiful newly planted cottage style garden comes complete with an arbour and bench. There’s also a table and chairs if you fancy a little alfresco dining. The garden is enclosed so the children can play while you relax!

The independent shops, cafes, pubs and the popular Swan Hotel are right on the doorstep. Stroll along the prom with its pastel shade beach huts, and visit the iconic pier and harbour. There are some lovely walks on the doorstep with easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Reviews

A lovely comfortable cottage equipped with everything you need. A perfect location. We'll definitely book again.

Miss V,

Thank you to the owners of Rose Cottage for making our holiday at Christmas so special. The thoughtful festive touches in the property were great and brought a big smile to everyone’s faces upon arrival. This was the second time we’ve stayed in 2023, just like Southwold itself, we love Rose Cottage and would highly recommend to anyone. A comfortable, well equipped and relaxing accommodation a very short walk from the sea front. See you again soon!

Mr P,

Excellent location and well equipped. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. The welcome pack was lovely. We felt very at home there.

Mr G,

Private garden was a beautiful place for breakfast and other meals. This was real bonus for the cottage. Kids loved relaxing on the upstairs window seat.

Mr R,

Mrs Rosemary H,

Perfect! and some reasonable weather for February too!
