Overview

Bosuns Cottage is a super character cottage situated in the heart of Torquay and offers a fantastic location being only a very short easy stroll to the harbour side, restaurants, marina, beach and town centre shops. Whilst being close to the centre of the town the cottage also benefits from a very pleasant tucked away location in a historic area of the town and offer guests privacy from the main hustle and bustle. The owners have thoughtfully retained many of the original traditional features such as the beams and exposed stone walls so there is a great feeling of character within the property. The owners supply one car parking permit that allows guests the use of the local authority car parks in the area.

Kitchen

Bosuns Cottage has a stylish and well equipped kitchen area which contains a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. From the kitchen, there is also a door leading out onto the rear courtyard garden which is a great spot for enjoying an evening BBQ.

Living/Dining Room

The open plan living accommodation is great for families and friends to relax in of an evening. The dining area is tucked away in its own little corner with a wooden dining set including chairs and a bench. In the living space, you can find comfortable seating and a Freeview TV, DVD & Blue ray player. This spacious area has a cozy cottage feel with its exposed walls and nautical theme.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms are all located on the first floor and offer generous space to all guests. Bedroom one contains a double bed with storage for all your holiday essentials. Bedroom 2 has a single bed which is great base for teenagers to relax in. Finally, in bedroom 3 you can find a set of bunk beds creating a great space for children.

Shower Room

Bosuns Cottage benefits from a shower room with a large walk in shower, WC and wash basin. This is again located on the first floor and provides easy access to the 3 bedrooms.

Outside Space

Towards the front of the property you can find a small front shrub garden. Located at the rear is a furnished courtyard garden which can be accessed from the kitchen. This is a great place to relax whilst reading the book and soaking up the sunshine.

Parking

A Parking permit covering all Torbay Pay and Display car parks is provided. This is a virtual permit which can be obtained from the owner. Please make contact with the owner 2 days prior to arrival supplying Car Registration number, make and model (owner details given prior to arrival). Permits for additional vehicles if required may also be obtained through the owner.

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Original Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Lovely, cosy and well equipped cottage located near the harbour and town shopping centre. If using public transport bus routes within a short walking distance. Great pub called The Hole in the Wall under 5 minutes walk. I would definitely book this cottage again if visiting Torquay.

Bosuns Cottage is a lovely compact cottage, very near to all the best Torquay has to offer, super restaurants, and pubs, super harbour and marina. Parking is local but not at the property, shops are very local too. There is so much to see and do in the town which is great fun, boutique shops and art studios/shops.

Marc and communication / information from original cottages was excellent throughout booking process pre holiday and during the holiday. The cottage itself was lovely , well equipped and was in a very convenient and central location. We noticed that only the obvious areas had been cleaned prior to our stay. However we also noticed certain flat areas had not been cleaned in a long while. Compared to other cottages we have stayed in the linen , towels and general decor was in need of a revamp. This did not affect our stay in any way however - just a bit of feedback! We had a super holiday - thank you

The Cottage was lovely and in an amazing location to local shops, restaurants and Harbour. Everywhere you go is pretty much dog friendly including the local pub, "The Hole in the Wall" which is a great little pub.
