Description

The Granary at Croft Farm in the popular village of Snape is a well presented three-bedroom holiday home only a short drive away from the Suffolk coastline. This converted farm building has been transformed into a self-catering property for five guests and ideally suited to families. With a converted building of this style you can imagine high ceilings, character features and rustic charm – here there’s plenty! The kitchen diner is a large area where guests can socialise together during meal times. The cosy sitting room can be found just off the kitchen and is a great place to unwind in front of the television. There is also a handy shower room on the ground floor in addition to the family bathroom upstairs.

Up the staircase to the first floor you’ll find three bedrooms. The master has retained some its character features with rustic vaulted ceiling beams. Skylight windows allow plenty of light to this room. The remaining two bedrooms are a twin bedded room which works for both adults and children and a single bedroom with added benefit of two windows. The family bathroom provides a calming atmosphere with its bath tub and blue and cream tones throughout.

Outside there is a lovely enclosed garden area at the front of the property with garden furniture which is a lovely spot to enjoy the outdoors. The Granary also comes with a handy private parking space – making your holiday in Snape all the more easy.

The Granary and The Forge are both situated within Croft Farm and can be booked together to accommodate seven guests. Shop: 500 yards Pub: 1300 yards.

Why We Love This Property

Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the pretty village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast - the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the fascinating coastal town of Aldeburgh, plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed either.

This is a very comfortable quiet and convenient place to stay. We return to it 2/3 times a year. Really love it.

The property is comfortable.

Mrs H,

The cottage was perfect for a multi generation holiday including a toddler. Lovely secure garden. Good facilities inside and out, including for the baby. Fabulous location with great walking and cycling to the Suffolk coast. Helpful hosts next door or a phone call away. Convenient campsite on the working farm for the grandparents. Would very happily book again.
