Description

The Old Dairy is a Grade II listed cottage situated in a sought-after location in the seaside town of Southwold. This nineteenth century cottage which incorporates a former eighteenth century dairy is the perfect blend of historic charm and modern day living. Inside the cottage you are welcomed into a long hallway with the original brick floor. There is a beautifully serene garden room which is used as the sitting room and dining room with big windows allowing natural light to flood through and a delightful window seat for relaxing. In addition to this sitting area there is a separate cosy snug room with desk and chair should you need to do some work on holiday and there is also BT Sport available if you fancy catching up with the outside world!

A real bonus with the property is its south-facing garden accessed via French doors from the garden room. Here you can catch the morning sunrise and make use of the garden furniture supplied. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with a barbecue available for summer dining with all the family. The kitchen comes with all modern appliances most of which are Neff and a handy utility room – the perfect way to enjoy self-catering in your holiday home. On the first floor are the bedrooms where guests can choose from a double, twin or single bedded rooms, with the double and twin rooms being particularly spacious. The Old Dairy also has two bathroom facilities, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor which adds to the ease this cottage brings to holidays. Shop: 140 yards Pub: 125 yards.

Southwold South Green Area - Properties here enjoy one of the best locations in town. From many of them you can look across South Green towards Gun Hill and the sea and the properties are within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The popular Red Lion Inn overlooking South Green is even closer.
