Reviews

We don’t want loads of people to find it ☺️

Mrs W,

Lovely , clean, attractive property. Very convenient for all the attractions of Southwold. No parking at the property but on street parking is easy in the winter. The property was lovely and warm.

Mrs J,

I have a few things to say, because 1. I have been staying with you guys for years, 2. would like to continue. Okay, so we are offered luxury but this time it felt like very good glamping, what I mean by that, is when Tibby's way was new, of course it was spangly and lovely, but it has not been kept up to scratch. So please take these on board with the best intention. However some of it is home owner, but quite a bit would be housekeeping i imagine, which means standards have dropped since changing company's, mergers and so on. This will put me off. Bathroom - shower head could do with a replacement, Suffolk is hard water, and i had to clean the head. Hand soap ran out. Only two loo rolls. Towels were smelly when i got it went after a shower. This happened with both, so i had to go and buy a new one, especially as i was there for two weeks. Kitchen - mugs, one fell out of the cupboard and smashed -apologies, but again, i went out an brought two, as they were small mugs and not many. The crockery, was a little sparse. Nothing seemed very clean. The dishwasher was a mess. There were not dishwasher tabs. i went and brought some, and after a couple of rounds the dishwasher became more sparkly again. I had to put the cutlery and crockery through the washer. I really appreciated the red wine. Thank you. But in days gone by we used to get coffee, tea bags or little goodies and a hessian bag. I know there is a cost of living crisis, but this is a holiday/break for us, and not all of us have a mass of wealth behind us, so every little additional thing makes for a super break. I had to put the clock right - not a problem, but it's the little things as i say. So mainly it was bathroom and kitchen bits. I do hope you take on board this with the good will intended. As i say, i do like using Southwold as a destination, but equally want to be wowed like we used to be. Many thanks

Dr Christine R,

I have stayed at Osprey before and like it a great deal. In a great position and generally well appointed and comfortable. Good facilities but in some details is starting to become a little tired. A light fitting which needs putting back. Some glasses suffering from dishwasher wear and two cups with stains which won’t come out however hard you scrub. Two broken blinds add to the tired feeling., as does the dripping tap. Not major things but not a cheap rental and Suffolk Secrets properties are usually spot on.
