Description

This home-from-home quirky cottage makes a great bolthole and is within easy reach of the attractions and amenities of Penzance. Located in West Cornwall, the historic port town is the most westerly large town in Cornwall with a fascinating local history of pirates and smuggling. There’s plenty to do on your doorstep, including subtropical gardens, historic streets, galleries, museums, antiques shops, restaurants – and of course the beach. Located at the end of Mount’s Bay, the iconic St Michael’s Mount is just 3.5 miles away, while the other direction takes you to the famous natural attraction of Land’s End (10 miles). Alternatively, take to the ocean on a sea life safari or catch the ferry to the Isles of Scilly.

Positioned around the corner from the quiet local pub, step into this corner cottage and you'll be welcomed by a cosy feel together with curved walls and Cornish quirks into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There's a comfortable sofa where you can catch up with your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen and dine at the table for a romantic meal for two. Heading up the typically steep Cornish staircase, you'll find the inviting yet light double bedroom with plenty of storage to the front, whilst the spacious family bathroom overlooks the rear courtyard garden below.

After a day exploring your surroundings, dine alfresco in the courtyard garden with outdoor furniture.

Reviews

Warm clean and location was great.

Mr N,

We enjoyed our time in penzance. The cottage bathroom needed an upgrade.

Mrs W,

Great little cottage, Centrally located and walking distance of everything in Penzance. Parking is an issue but easy to find on nearby streets and public carparks. House quirky, well laid out, stairs steep, spotlessly clean, perfect for 2.

Ms W,

Lovely place to stay, close to shops, bus/train, fish & chip shop, loved it

Ms P,

Positives: nice property, great location, clean and well equipped. Negatives: Parking is a bit of a problem (but that's not the property's fault, you have to be lucky!), settee uncomfortable, but the biggest problem was the shower didn't work and no one came to fix it; we had to have baths every day, which is very VERY slow to fill and we wasted a lot of time.

Mr U,

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our weeks stay. It was great we could take the dog too. It was very comfortable & had everything at hand you needed .We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & hope to come back again but for longer

Mr D,

We enjoyed our stay very much. Very close to shopping, trains and buses and yet very quiet. Very well equipped and the washing machine/dryer was excellent. The list to starboard is a nice nautical touch! Very comfortable in every way and spacious bathroom. Made our visit from Australia very enjoyable.

Mr M,

Good value and positioned well for use of the fantastic public transport across the road. Central position to explore the area. Parking was challenging hence why we resorted to using the buses and parked far away from the cottage.

Mrs M,

Small but compact, well equipped and very, warm and comfortable. Excellent access to the town, bus station and railway station.

Mr M,

Great cottage just the very low water pressure.
