Description

As seen on 'Escape to the Country', Mimosa is a picture-postcard thatched cottage, with views of the river and lots of charm and quirky features, a new bespoke kitchen and lovely large enclosed garden.

The front path through the wildflower garden leads up to a glazed front door, opening into the atmospheric, low beamed living room with a woodburner, comfortable modern sofas and a TV with DVD player. At the far end of the living room, grouped around the old second fireplace alcove, is a pine dining table and shaker style chairs. From here, steps lead down into the well-equipped fitted kitchen, including dishwasher and microwave, and a stable door leading out to the front garden with a wooden picnic bench for eating al fresco.

The newly-fitted bathroom, with bath and overhead shower, is behind the living room, and upstairs are two lovely bedrooms both enjoying a fab outlook on to the Helford River. There is a single bedroom at the top of the cottage which also benefits from stunning river views and this is accessed by separate, open tread stairs from the kitchen.

Outside, steps from the front garden lead around the side of the cottage and on to beautiful tiered gardens with patio furniture where those fabulous river views can be enjoyed.

Reviews

A pretty cottage, excellent location.

Mrs Da C,

Great location, right opposite the shipwright arms pub (which cannot be missed) and next to the village shop. Lots of places to walk locally or places to go & explore Cornwall. For ease of turning around would recommend parking nearer the bridge and walking 2 mins to the cottage but there is parking right outside. Cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Really warm and toastie and very clean. The cottage was more spacious than I was expecting which was great but as expected mind your head if you’re tall. Cannot fault, would love to come back and would highly recommend!!!
