Description

Lark Rise Cottage is a traditional stone-built listed property which was built in the 1700’s and restored in 1801. The property is located in Horton in Ribblesdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is ideal for groups of friends or family who are looking to holiday together in this beautiful part of Yorkshire.  The village pub is a short stroll away from the front of the cottage, whilst to the rear there is a furnished patio area and a garden which leads down to the river.  This cottage is ideal for those of you looking to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks which starts from Horton or Pennine Way as the walks are from the doorstep.  The kitchen has Victorian wall tiles which enhance the traditional country feel.

The local market towns of Hawes and Settle are a short drive away and have many traditional Dales pubs, quirky shops and friendly tea rooms, the Wensleydale Creamery is worth a visit, here you can sample the locally produced cheeses and the café is an ideal place to stop for homemade cake. Reviews

Lovely cottage, right next to the pub who were great and friendly. Forgot the dogs bowl so great that they had spares, lovely and warm, had everything we needed.

Ms M,

Well equipped, spacious, warm & cosy in February. We have stayed in quite a few cottages in the Dales over the years and this is as good as any of the others. Being a Listed Building with character features is also a bonus for those who live the rest of the time in modern dwellings.

Mr B,

A lovely, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Excellent location for The Three Peaks and Ribblesdale. Would definitely return without hesitation.

Mr G,

Lovely clean and cosy cottage with beautiful garden and great base to explore lots of places. Plenty of space to spend special family time.

Mrs M,

This is a warm, comfortable and spacious cottage, very nicely decorated and furnished. It is convenient for the station and one of the local pubs (where we had a decent meal). There is a lovely garden ending at a delightful stream, and the local scenery and walks are fantastic. We enjoyed our short stay and would definitely return to this cottage.

Miss W,

The cottage is amazing - a real tardis with plenty of room for six people not to be on top of one another. We loved the garden and the river, and the fact that so many walks were available without having to drive. Our two dogs were also well catered for with beds and bowls!! If you decide to sell, let us know!!

Mrs Q,

Spotlessly clean cottage with all mod cons. Spent a fantastic week here. Pub only 50 metres away.

Mr M,

Lovely cottage - warm and well equipped with stunning garden

Mrs C,

We had a brilliant time in the cottage and it is perfectly placed for the three peaks and other amazing walks. It is wonderful and clean and comfy. The cottage garden is a total delight. Highly recommended. With a few tweaks, it would get full marks. Note that the pub is across the courtyard and all their tables are right outside the house, but the crowds dispersed before we went to bed luckily.

Mrs B,

Fantastic location, and the cottage was warm, cosy, and yet surprisingly spacious!

Dr H,

Our stay was wonderful from arrival to leaving, location, feel of the property everything! Everything you could need was there, the children had a wonderful time and we truly loved being so isolated from the hustle and bustle of real life! We'd return in a heartbeat only minor inconvenience is parking bot definitely not an issue to worry about.

Miss C,

We have just enjoyed an amazing New Year in this beautiful cottage. It is really well equipped and very cosy with open fires and comfy furniture! The cottage is in a perfect spot (next door to a pub) with lots of walks and places to see nearby.

Mrs C,

The cottage is a very comfortable for a larger party with plenty of space. And the garden would be a real asset in the summer.
