History lovers will enjoy the nearby UNESCO world heritage Slate Quarries and National Slate Museum (2.5 miles), where you can step back in time inside atmospheric Victorian workshops set against the dramatic backdrop of the Dinorwig Quarry. When it’s time to refuel, the village of Llanberis has a good selection of friendly pubs, cafes and shops.
