Access Statement

- Approach to the cottage is via Waterloo Street and into Ivy Place, where you will find Ivy Mews at the end on the left hand side.

- If arriving by car, the two car parking spaces are to the left of Ivy Mews, alongside the tall wall. They are clearly marked for No. 2.

- There is a step up into the cottage at the front door, so this property is not suitable for wheelchair users.

- The staircase has a balustrade/handrail up to the first floor.

-There are french doors to the small enclosed, north-facing patio behind the cottage, accessed via the dining area. The door frame has a lip about 2 inches high between the patio and house.

- The double and single bedrooms are on the first floor, accessed via the staircase.

- The bathroom is on the first floor at the top of the stairs.

- The location of the cottage is within 5 minutes walk to local shops and the seafront.

To conclude: The house is practical and easily accessible but not suitable for wheelchair users or people who could not manage to climb a staircase.

Really pleased we found this cottage, location is perfect for us as we have family only 15 minutes away. Parking is a bonus, we travel there park car knowing it's safe and don't use again until we return home. The cottage is comfortable warm and cosy, had 2 visits so far and hope for many more.

We enjoyed our stay at the ivy mews , the location is great so close to the sea and many restaurants , bars & supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk . The parking space the mews has is very convenient and it was good the mews had free Wii Fi . The mews is dated and needs updating but we found it clean and we slept well . The small private patio area was nice it has a patio table and chairs which was nice to use during our stay .

Perfect location, parking space great but very difficult to manoeuvre into, virtually impossible to park unless you have a small car or no one else is parked. Cottage adequate and clean but requires a lot of updating, looks tired and dated.

We have stayed at this cottage I believe six times now over the past 20 years and we love it. Its in a quiet spot with parking, the cottage is excellent and in a very good location. only five minutes from the sea and the same to all the restaurants etc and a very good bus service. We hope to book again 2025..

The only downside was that the next door neighbour told us we only had one parking space and not 2, which made parking awkward at times, other than that it was great

Overall a very cosy cottage ideal for short winter break. Have stayed there before and we will be back. Great location close to the shops and my favourite pub- Lion & Lobster. Parking is a little tight but an absolute dream and deal clincher.

2 Ivy Mews is a lovely cosy property in an excellent location only 3 mins walk to the front. It is well equipped with everything you could need and was clean & tidy on our arrival. We really did appreciate the prosecco and biscuits left by the owner as this was a nice touch at Christmas time. A smaller sized car is a must for parking but we knew that in advance so were prepared. To have parking in such a location is fantastic. Be prepared that the walls are thin and you may hear the neighbours. It was Christmas when we stayed, so they may just have been livelier than usual. Overall, a lovely getaway.
