Reviews

We had a wonderful stay at this fabulous property very well presented and all needs met. Our stay was enhanced by the visits from the deer, sheep and feathered friends. We spent many a happy hour in the tree house relaxing. Our host Stephen was very welcoming and available if required.

Mrs L,

Stayed in the Tack House. Very nicely presented. Lovely views over the grounds where you see the deer and other animals on a very regular basis. The town of Diss is a 5 min walk away so car not needed for every outing. A peaceful place to stay.

Mr C,

This cottage is really lovely and great for short stays. We arrived Monday and stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. The animals are a real delight. A couple of times, we had a menagerie of different animals queuing at the door for digestive biscuits. Deer, two of which were taking them from our hand, two black sheep, several chickens and white peacocks! It was hilarious! Often, when opening the curtains in the morning, we would be greeted by a peacock’s face 3 inches from the window! It was also common to be followed by a lot of chickens when going to and from the car, all clucking. It is a real shame under 16s cannot stay as my 15-month-old granddaughter would be memorised. There are a lot of grounds to walk in, and Tesco is only a 5-minute walk away. All in all, a nice village with all the amenities you need and a lovely peaceful place to stay. Our host Stephen was also great in helping us settle in. Phil & Joy.

Mr A,

Exceptionally beautiful cottage and all the animals around make it special. We had wonderful days, very relaxed.

Mrs V,

We had a lovely stay. We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals and having them in close proximity.

Mrs C,

We had an amazing, relaxing stay at the Tack House. The cottage is even better than the pictures made it look, everything is done to such a high standard whilst remaining cosy. We spent the days watching the wildlife out the big window and the nights in front of the fire (making full use of the generous amount of logs supplied). Feeding the deer by hand was an incredible experience. It was like being on an English safari! We can’t wait to come back!

Mrs N,

Everything was great. Accommodation perfect for us. Loved feeding all the livestock. Great to see them freely roaming.

Dr J,

Lovely, modern, and well-appointed accommodation with everything you could possibly need. It feels like you are in the middle of the countryside, although you are close to a town. Watching the free-roaming deer, sheep, chickens etc. right outside the window makes it a wonderful and unique experience. Would definitely go back if visiting the area again.

Dr C,

We stayed in the tack house for a long weekend break. The location is lovely, you are in the stunning Suffolk countryside but only a few minutes walk from any amenities you could need. Arriving we were greeted by the owner who couldn't have been more welcoming. The accommodation is absolutely first class from the fantastically appointed kitchen to the ultra comfortable sofa's and the superb wood burner. The shower in the bathroom was amazing. The highlight though has to be the animals, they roam freely across the site and are so friendly. We fed several of the deer and sheep by hand. The chickens are hilarious. When you open your door in the morning expect to see them running towards you. You can sit on the sofa with the fire on just watching them through the picture window for hours. We can't wait to go back again.

Mr H,

We had the most fantastic time at Tack House. Everything was perfect and we will most certainly be back.

Mr P,

Absolutely magical experience! The perfect way to spend New Year during storms! Super cosy and comfortable.

Mrs W,

Excellent, just as described. The views and setting are perfect - it was just what we wanted for a relaxing week. Can't recommend highly enough - we will be returning. The owner kindly left us some biscuits to feed the animals which was lovely - feeding the white stag was amazing!

Mrs W,

If you are looking for a secluded place surrounded by deer, sheep, chickens, ducks and other beautiful birds this is the perfect choice. We had a wonderful week at the farm and we enjoyed every minute. Very comfortable, clean and quite.

Ms T,
