Description

Set within the Waveney Valley and surrounded by the rolling Suffolk countryside, this wonderful home is the ideal escape to the country for families and friends. For those that are wildlife lovers, anglers, and twitchers, this holiday home couldn’t be more perfect with South Elmham Lakes just 4 miles away and Weybread Fishing and Sailing Lakes only 3 miles. There are plenty of footpaths to explore nearby too so do bring your four-legged friends along! The glorious coastal town of Southwold is just a short distance away (16 miles) where you can chase the waves along the sandy shores and indulge in a seaside favourite fish and chip supper. This rural retreat for nine boasts country living at its best.

 

Step inside and you are welcomed into a lovely farmhouse kitchen equipped with all you could need during your stay, as well as an excellent utility room with plenty of additional storage. The large dining table is at the kitchen’s centre and will be the perfect setting to enjoy delicious meals together. After a day of exploring the local area, why not snuggle up on the sofas in either of the two comfortable and cosy lounges? One boasts a roaring wood burner, just perfect for those chillier days, whilst both offer Smart TVs with access to streaming services to keep everyone entertained. The property has accommodation across five bedrooms over two floors. The main bedroom plays host to a sumptuous super-king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, with a further king-size and single bedroom on this floor, both sharing a family bathroom. To get to the remaining bedrooms, take the small staircase up into the eaves where two delightful king-size bedrooms await.

 

The farmhouse is set within generous grounds and offers an enclosed, walled lawn to the front of the property which has plenty of space for croquet matches, whilst the rear garden is ideal for al fresco dining and watching the resident ducks on the pond.

We had a lovely Easter weekend in the property with our family. Really spacious and comfortable. The garden was fantastic too. A good barbecue and outdoor table for eating. So relaxing. The children and dogs really appreciated the space too. So many things provided and lovely Easter decorations. The hosts were extremely accommodating and we would definitely anyone with a large family to go there. Good pubs and beaches not too far away.

Appreciated air fryer and plentiful supply of logs and general Christmassy decorations, 3 x Xmas trees and fresh flowers in many rooms. Also supplied were many general groceries, eg marmalade, salt, sugar, etc. A very comfortable place to stay for two families.

We had a wonderful stay over New Year with friends and children. Street Farm is absolutely beautiful and very well equipped. It was the most comfortable place we have stayed in with great mattresses and pillows, the christmas decorations were such a lovely touch and made the place feel magical. We loved sitting around the log fire every night and cooking meals in the kitchen which had everything we could need. The whole stay was excellent and we will definitely return.

We found the cottage to be of a very high standard both regarding amenities and decor .There was so much space for larger groups/families, however maybe the property would benefit from an additional shower . The gardens are beautiful and fully enclosed and there is parking for three cars ( possibly four ). The owners were on hand to help us with a small query regarding the central heating and couldnt be more accommadating. We hope to book this property again in the future .
