Description
This spacious holiday home sits amongst fields and paddocks in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Sleeping up to 14 guests, the barn conversion is the perfect choice for family get-togethers and holidays with friends.
The barn conversion retains many of its original features and large, floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of light and frame relaxing countryside views. Come together in the large lounge/diner to share stories in the glow of the wood burner and tuck into delicious feasts at the magnificent oak dining table. A separate kitchen provides everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The property has four ground-floor double bedrooms, as well as a twin bedroom leading to an additional small double bedroom with an extra pull-out bed. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities, and there is also a ground-floor bathroom and shower room. Upstairs, discover a fabulous master double bedroom and an elegant bathroom. Outside, a covered, decked veranda awaits, with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. This area is enclosed with a picket fence. Guests are welcome to make use of the owner's outdoor heated swimming pool on Thursday afternoons during the summer months (June to beginning September ONLY), and by arrangement with the owners on other days (it is situated behind their house), and there’s also a shared tennis court.
For a traditional day at the seaside, head to the popular resort of Southwold (13.5 miles). The town has a long, sandy beach, colourful beach huts, and a fantastic array of cute cafes and independent restaurants. It’s also a great starting point for stunning coastal walks, including to the idyllic village of Walberswick and the dramatic castle ruins at Dunwich. The bustling market town of Beccles is well worth exploring during your visit. Take time to potter around its quirky shops, sample the local produce in one of the eateries, and stroll along the picturesque River Waveney.
