Description

This luxurious countryside lodge perches on the fringes of Cornwall and Devon with commanding views across stunning rolling countryside. Nestled on the edge of the village of Pensilva, with a shop and a pub within 2 miles, this lovely property is ideal for escaping from everyday life.  Surrounded by beautiful countryside, there are plenty of picturesque walks from the door step, and a stay at this property wouldn't be complete without hiking the wild landscapes of Bodmin Moor; just a short drive away.  Outdoorsy folk will also enjoy exploring the South West Coast Path, or hop aboard the Heritage Trail towards popular sights such as Golitha Falls and Cardonsbury Castle. Centrally located within Cornwall, it's an ideal base to explore both coasts where you'll find sandy beaches and surf.  To the south the pretty towns of Looe and Polperro are 15 miles away; and to the north legendary Tintagel, famous Port Isaac and foodies favourite Padstow are all within 30 miles. Closer to home you have the bustling town of Liskeard within 5 miles.

Entering the accommodation, you are welcomed into the practical utility room with plenty of space for outdoor gear and walking boots. Make your way through into the kitchen with its wooden and sleek black units, breakfast bar and top-quality appliances. It’s the ideal space to cook breakfast before hiking through Bodmin Moor or enjoy a quiet dinner with your loved ones. The lounge is lovingly furnished with comfortable furniture and African-inspired decor. Choose to curl up with a book of an evening or gather around the dining table for a sociable meal with friends or family. Two stylish king-size rooms (one with an en suite shower room) are perfect for relaxing and getting a good nights' sleep; both benefitting from top quality bedding and soothing colours. Rounding off this lodge is a large bathroom with a freestanding tub and WC.

Outside is a seating area and a BBQ for enjoying alfresco meals in the sunshine. The far reaching, countryside views are nothing short of spectacular. Admire them in the daytime or unwind at the end of the day to soak in this special Dark Sky Reserve spot. There is private parking for two cars.
