Cottages with a VisitEngland Gold Award

Our English cottages all go through the independent VisitEngland grading scheme to ensure we provide a quality holiday home you can rely on.

When seeking something special, look through our selection of properties with a Gold Award. The independent VisitEngland grading scheme assessors make recommendations for Gold Awards to those cottages displaying high end quality throughout.

Each and every cottage is put through the scrupulous inspection of an independent assessor. All properties in our portfolio must meet at least a three star grading, but there are some properties which really shine through, offering their guests an added dose of style, size, design and luxury.

To ensure these superior properties maintain their top score, the VisitEngland professionals will put the cottage through a higher degree of inspection, employing the area manager to confirm the scoring and in some cases, employing a ‘mystery visit’ to really make sure the property is top notch. Taking place annually, these visits go above and beyond to ensure a top graded cottage delivers its guests with gold standards year on year.

Whereas other VisitEngland grading is based on functionality of a property, the Gold Award focuses solely on style, design, grading the quality of the fabrics, furnishings and attention to detail. Rewarding those properties which go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

If you are a little partial to luxurious touches and enjoy quality bed linen and soft furnishings, or you have a tendency to seek and enjoy the finer things in life, then a stay in one of our ‘Golden’ properties is one which you can be sure will deliver all you expected and more.
