Reviews

A beautiful cottage which made a great family stay for the week. Perfect location, beautiful views, walks literally from your doorstep. Great facilities within the cottage however could do with mentioning that staircase is very steep and small. Also would really benefit for having 6 chairs to lounge in rather than 5 as one was always sat in formal chair. Garden does link slightly to another which is worth knowing if you have dogs. Beautiful wood fire, cosy lounge and a beautiful kitchen space.

Ms S,

A lovely holiday property in a pleasant rural location - yet easy access to many places such as Wells next the Sea, Blakeney, Holt etc. Many places to visit such as Blicklimg, Felbrigg and Oxburgh (all NT) as well as Sandringham and Holkham Hall. The boat trip to see the seals is highly recommended - at any time of the year.

Ms S,

There were a number of spiders which could be a big issue for some. The wood burner looked good, but with no firelightets or kindling it was impossible to light. The 3 piece suite was a bit uncomfortable on the seats, they have collapsed a bit , we got over this by using the extra cushions.

Mr M,

Lovely cottage. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom were superb. Tricky stairs to the two upstairs bedrooms if you have mobility issues. Nestled in a tiny hamlet, so you do need to drive if you want to go to the nearest pub and store in Stiffkey. Big plus was the less than 10 min drive to Wells beach. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would wholeheartedly recommend.

Mr F,

Lovely comfortable cottage with a great garden for our dogs. Well equipped, would definitely book again, only downside was the very steep stairs, but there is a downstairs bedroom and shower room for anyone with mobility issues

Mrs D,

Overall this is a lovely cottage which is spacious, light and airy and soft furnishings very comfortable. The garden is great for children and dogs. The rural area is peaceful and there is great walking from the doorstep. Including blankets in the lounge was really thoughtful and there was a range of games - though not really inclusive for younger children. The wifi was really good throughout our stay - with 2 iPads and 3 laptops in regular use. However - full detailed information being provided beforehand would be helpful - especially in terms of supportive disposables (toilet paper, washing up liquid etc) and a greater range of kitchen equipment would support those bookings which have the maximum amount of people and cater for young children.

Mrs B,

Beautiful cottage and location

Mrs P,

We stayed in Farrier cottage during a heatwave it was hot no rain all week, the cottage is well presented and has large spacious rooms, the kitchen has large glass windows with no covers and this made it uncomfortable for eating whilst it was so hot, but I guess that's personal choice, the lounge was comfortable though sofas a little worn on the cushion seating, plenty of board games available, the downstairs bedroom is spacious and has a step down in to it which was hard to spot for my dad who was using this room, I have suggested it be marked to help elderly or unsteady , the downstairs ensuite was a good size, there is a nice little study room too, the downstairs laundry room is handy and the extra toilet/shower as well, the stairs are tricky and we found them a challenge, i think small children going up and down would scare me a bit, you need to be steady on your feet, the two upstairs bedrooms are a good size and the shower room is large , we had a problem with shower draining but was seen to within hours, the garden has a lovely large area of grass perfect for playing on, the cottage was joined to another property but we had no issues with neighbours only the sheep which escaped into the garden, lovely quiet location and we had a lovely time in Norfolk, overall it is a beautiful cottage.

Mrs R,

Beautifully clean, quiet and well equipped. Loved games selection, though sun shone in the end so we didn’t need them. Patio seating lovely in evening to watch sunset - great birdwatching session from there with a Prosecco! Stairs narrow and twisty so beware if mobility is an issue but wasn’t a problem for us apart from negotiating with our suitcases. Great location with coast very close and plenty of walks and attractions nearby.

Mrs C,

Peaceful, light and airy cottage with plenty of room and well presented. Conveniently located for Blakeney, Holkham or Holt and only a couple of miles from masses of bird life on Stiffkey marshes. We barely noticed people staying in Farriers Barn next door. The stairs would be a challenge for some, but you can happily live just on the ground floor.
