The village of Langham is a charming north Norfolk village with a pretty church and cottages featuring the local brick and flint architecture. It is a great springboard for exploring this part of Norfolk being just minutes from the coast, marshes and fabulous sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham. From here it is also easy to explore many of the delightful coastal villages such as Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, which has a world renowned birdwatching centre nearby. Much of this part of the coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and other pleasures to be enjoyed here are sailing, visiting historic houses and crabbing on the quayside - which will keep all members of the family happily entertained for hours! Walking the quiet lanes, nearby heaths and parks such as Kelling Heath and the National Trust's Sheringham Park, which affords great views down to the coast are also worth seeking out. There is a handy village pub, The Blue Bell, serving good food and there other excellent restaurants and gastro-pubs plus cafes and delicatessens nearby, giving ample opportunities to sample the local gastronomic delights that Norfolk is justifiably famous for. Venture inland to discover the wonderful Georgian town of Holt, a landmark for the area, with its antique shops, independent fashion boutiques, art galleries, cafes and tea rooms and whilst here take a journey on the local steam railway for a coastal journey to Sheringham. With so much to see and do, many happy memories will be made and a return visit will be a certainty.
