Description
Set in a peaceful, woodland setting just a mile from the hamlet of Water Yeat, this beautiful property which sleeps up to eight adults lies on an historic Edwardian country estate on the south-western banks of Coniston Water. It’s ideal for large families or a group of friends who want to enjoy the spectacular surroundings abundant with nature and wildlife. Coniston (5 miles), Ambleside (14 miles) and Windermere (17 miles) offer the perfect family day out.
Step inside the side door of this newly refurbished property, with a spacious entrance hall and the downstairs accommodating the bedrooms and bathrooms. You’ll find a family bathroom with bath and walk-in shower, next door to the King-size bedroom (available as a twin upon request) alongside a further king-size, double and twin bedroom. There is an additional shower room and a handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble drier, with access through to the garden, completing the ground floor. Family meals are a pleasure with the well-equipped kitchen featuring an electric oven and induction hob, under-counter freezer and larder-style fridge. Tuck into delicious regional produce in the open-plan dining living on the first floor. Brightly lit with patio doors leading out onto the balcony where you take in the woodlands views. Next door you can find the cosy snug with a log burner, Smart TV, and Bluetooth speaker for your entertainment.
Outside, you’ll find a private terraced garden with seating and a summer BBQ. A short woodland walk with direct access to a private lakeside area on Coniston Water is shared only with properties on-site. Ideal for the morning and evening dog walks. Off-road parking and secure bike storage and EV Charging are available for guests, and there’s a shop and pub within 3 miles.
