Escape to the peace and beauty of the Dorset countryside at this cosy, two-bedroom holiday cottage, perfectly positioned on the edge of enchanting woodland. Tucked away down a private road, this semi-detached retreat is surrounded by nature — ideal for walkers, wildlife lovers, or anyone simply looking to slow down and unwind. Though attached to the owner’s home, the cottage is entirely self-contained, ensuring privacy throughout your stay. The cottage is perfectly located for coastal adventures and countryside walks. Step outside, and you’re just footsteps from forest trails where deer, hares, badgers, and a variety of birds are frequent visitors − plus, you’re only 4 miles from the dramatic Jurassic Coast with its iconic cliffs, shingle shores, and the beautiful scenery of Ringstead Bay. Explore historic Dorchester (7 miles) and iconic beauty spots like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove (9 miles).

Inside, the cottage is thoughtfully furnished with everything you need for a restful break. The well-equipped kitchen, complete with stylish cabinetry, opens onto a warm and inviting lounge/dining space where you can curl up by the wood burner after a day of exploring. A handy boot room and utility area mean muddy walking gear can be easily stored. Upstairs, two comfortable bedrooms await — one with a king-size bed and a luxurious en-suite bathroom featuring a bath and double shower and the other with a double bed and en-suite shower room. Both bedrooms feature Smart TVs for added comfort.

Outside, settle in the seating area and take in the wild, verdant surroundings. It’s the perfect quiet spot to sip a morning coffee, dine alfresco together, or simply listen to the birdsong. Please note that the garden is uneven in places. There is parking available for two cars at the property.

Reviews

What an absolute hidden gem, so tranquil and peaceful with nature at your doorstep. We had a really lovely week staying here, feeding the local deer in the garden was an absolute highlight. With sightings of birds of prey and hopping hares to a gorgeous squarril. We did also find it to be completely central to so many of the favourite places to visit in Dorset. The owners Dave and Nita made us very welcome and left us some special treats which was such a lovely gesture. I will be back to visit and cannot wait.

Ms M,

Absolutely loved this cottage, deer, wild ponies and a high spec cottage, what more could you ask for 10 out of 10, we will return.
