Description

This superb two-bed apartment is located in the charming character village of Kingswear, set opposite the town of Dartmouth. The property showcases its beautiful views across the River Dart, thanks to its elevated position above the harbour. Kingswear is a pretty village known for its prominent Kingswear Castle, delightful steam train, and proximity to all the amenities available in Dartmouth, which is only a short and scenic ferry ride away!

The property itself is comfortable and stylish, with an open-plan kitchen/dining space to welcome you home for a meal after a long day exploring all the area has to offer. The small balcony opens to the living room, ensuring that the room feels beautifully light and spacious. You may retire to the thoughtfully furnished bedrooms to either the Kingsize bedroom or the convenient Zip n Link bedroom (either King Size or 2 Singles as requested) where you can get some much-needed rest for the days ahead, with the Kingsize room benefitting from an en-suite shower room.

Bathroom Bath, separate shower, basin, w.c, heated towel rail. 

Balcony Leading from the living space, looking over the bay, two fold-up chairs for this are available under the sofa.

Parking No parking is available at the property. A permit is provided for parking at Darthaven Marina (on a first come first serve basis), less than a 5-minute walk from the property. Please provide your vehicle registration, make, model and colour at the time of booking so a virtual permit can be arranged for your stay.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Original Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Brilliant location and the views are fantastic of Dartmouth. So lovely to look out the window to see all the activity in the marina too. Ferry is very reliable, so getting across to Dartmouth was a doddle. Steam Packet and Ship Inn pub are firm favourites.

Very rarely give a review but this probably the best rental property we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. The views are amazing and the free car parking space is nearby. We did not use our car as everything is accessible by ferry, bus or the steam train. Have already recommended to our friends!

Excellent location in Kingswear, comfortable, spacious, apartment overlooking the Dart Marina and River Dart, fantastic views, always something to watch on the river. Ideally situated for local pubs and restaurants, for river or coastal walks and local attractions, river trips, and rides on the heritage railway.

2A River View is a well equipped property in a beautiful location overlooking the river. However one bottle each of milk and water do not constitute a welcome pack. The instruction not to leave any household rubbish in the apartment after collection day is impractical, so needs to be re-thought as it should not be the responsibility of the holidaymaker to find a suitable waste depository. Despite these negatives we would seriously consider a return visit.

WE'VE STAYED IN MANY SELF CATERING HOLIDAY LETS AND HAVE GENERALLY FOUND THAT THE QUALITY OF THE ACCOMMODATION REFLECTS THE HOLIDAY, WELL WE HAD A FANTASTIC WEEK IN KINGSWEAR. THE APARTMENT HAS STUNNING VIEWS, WITH BI FOLD DOORS WHICH OPEN ONTO A BALCONY WHICH OVERLOOKS THE MARINA AND ONTO DARTMOUTH AND THE NAVAL COLLEGE. THE APARTMENT IS VERY WELL EQUIPPED AND WOULD APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN VERY RECENTLY REFURBISHED WITH QUALITY FURNITURE AND FITTINGS. THE BEDROOMS ARE A GOOD SIZE, WITH A WELL SIZED EN SUITE TO THE TOP FLOOR AND BATHROOM TO THE LOWER FLOOR. THE APARTMENT COMES WITH A PARKING PASS TO THE NEARBY MARINA, ONLY FIVE MINUTES WALK IF THAT AND ABOUT FIVE MINUTES TO THE FERRY. A DISCOUNT CARD CAN BE PURCHASED ON THE FERRY WITH PRELOADED 20 OR 40 PASSENGER TICKETS AND ALSO SEPERATELY WITH CAR TICKETS. YOU CAN GET THIS ON THE FIRST PASSING SO ITS WORTH KNOWING IN ADVANCE AS THE DISCOUNTS ARE WELL WORTH IT. OVERALL WE COULDN'T FIND FAULT AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH THE APARTMENT AND STAYING IN KINGSWEAR.
