Description

Palms 1 is a crisp and stylish new home sat on the hillside overlooking Woolacombe. The contemporary style of decor and furnishings is uncluttered and chic. The village centre is a short walk down the hill and a few steps with a gently sloped path lead to the front door through a Mediterranean style terraced garden. The main living area is open plan and spacious with natural light flooding in from full height windows enjoying views across the valley. Patio doors lead out to a stone terrace.  A roomy dining area and spotless, top quality kitchen make dining in with family and friends an easy choice. Two good sized bedrooms upstairs include a double with stunning ocean views through a shapely cutting-edge window. The family bathroom serves these rooms while an additional ground floor shower gives another option. The south facing terraced front garden features two patios both with spectacular views of the sun setting over the sea. Woolacombe's three mile stretch of golden sand has been voted number one in the UK by TripAdvisor guests for the last two years. It also holds the England For Excellence Gold Award for best family resort and was voted the Best British Beach in the Mail On Sunday. Lifeguards ensure safe swimming during the summer. However it’s not just the beach that brings visitors to Woolacombe. There's a wide selection of restaurants, teashops and bars to enjoy while the laid-back atmosphere makes it a firm favourite for people of all ages. A short drive east takes you to Exmoor National Park, which has Europe’s very first International Dark Sky Reserve, the tallest tree in England, the highest cliffs in England, almost 250 species of bird and over 1,000 different flowering plants and grasses

Very well equipped holiday home in a good location an easy walk from Woolacombe Beach. Modern open plan layout screened from the road by a beautiful garden and with sea views form the lower patio.

The whole experience was really luxurious. The furnishings, equipment, thoughtful extras provided by the hosts. The outdoor areas were fab with lovely views but also very private and the garden was a delight. The owner even gave me some plants to bring home with me... What more can I say except to recommend Palms 1 for a lovely break.

A perfect little house in an ideal location- everything has been thought of in the house and you are made very welcome. The garden is the icing on the cake and Mr Parkin senior is an absolute gardening legend! Owners really helpful and quick to respond to any little issues which crop up. I have stayed in a number of Marsdens houses in Woolacombe and this is by far the best. Many thanks.

The property is well laid out, modern and comfortable. However, it is not dog friendly as advertised. There is no garden tk exercise dogs. The information provided stating there is a field nearby to walk dogs is wrong. The field is full of sheep. The sitting area is noisy and near a main road. Often little things count (e.g towels very hard). Good but not brilliant

Couldn’t fault the property really. If I was to nitpick there were a couple of places under furniture what were not swept. I also found the bed too soft along with the leather sofa but as I said that’s nitpicking. We also didn’t realise how many steps there were up to the house which isn’t suitable if your are getting on in age (which we are). But overall I would really recommend this house!
