Description
The Croft sits on high ground looking out across Ilfracombe to the Atlantic. It is just a ten minute stroll to the town centre and harbour. This terraced property blends traditional features with modern luxuries to create a spacious home. An entrance hall with lots of coat hanging space has a parquet floor and leads into the roomy lounge with comfy seating around a gas fire. There is a separate dining room with a table for eight and a fully equipped galley kitchen with views out over town. Also on the ground floor is a snug with TV, toys and a door to garden. There are two more living rooms with accommodation laid out over three floors. Two double rooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the top floor share two bathrooms on the first floor. All bedrooms also have attractive fireplaces. There is also a writing desk and chair on the second-floor landing. The garden has a patio area with garden furniture for al fresco dining. Ilfracombe has a delightful mix of Victorian and Regency architecture, pretty harbour, independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The harbour, with Damien Hirst’s infamous bronze statue Verity, and the Tunnels Beaches, are well worth a visit along with the award-winning Ilfracombe Aquarium, fascinating Ilfracombe Museum, Larkstone Leisure Park, Hele Cornmill and Chambercombe Manor - one of Britain's most haunted houses. A short drive takes you to Exmoor National Park, which has Europe’s very first International Dark Sky Reserve, the tallest tree in England, the highest cliffs in England, almost 250 species of bird and over 1,000 different flowering plants and grasses
