Jentrea Cottage

Jentrea Cottage, built in the 1860's, is in a lovely elevated position, in the village of Llanberis. This terraced cottage has fabulous views of Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon from the garden and is within walking distance of the most popular footpath up Snowdon and the station for the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Caernarfon is 7.5 miles away and the Isle of Anglesey 10 miles. Llanberis is a thriving village right on the edge of Eryri - the Snowdonia National Park where you will find shops and plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants. The nearby lake, Llyn Padarn, is fantastic for swimming and watersports, with hire and teaching facilities available. There are two steam railways, one along the lake, the other up Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon itself; also, the interesting (and free) National Slate Museum and Electric Mountain visitor centre with underground tours. The village also has a cycle hire shop. Within a short drive is Caernarfon with its stunning castle, the beaches of Anglesey, and the National Trust's Penrhyn Castle. This couldn't be a better spot for outdoor enthusiasts with walking and cycling from the door and the ever popular ZipWorld zip wire a short drive away.

The Cottage: is a spacious, pet friendly property, ideal for families or groups of friends wanting to explore Snowdonia. There are two separate sitting rooms one with a sofa bed for alternative sleeping arrangements.

The entrance: the main access is to the rear of the property and into the porch/boot room area which is tiled and ideal for outdoor kit and muddy dogs! Also found here is a cloakroom with WC and basin.

The Sitting Rooms: there are two sitting rooms, each with a wood burning stove (initial starter pack of logs provided in winter months) and 30” Freesat TV/DVD/X Box/ IPod dock and WiFi, the other a more tranquil seating area with a double sofa bed.

The Kitchen Diner: has a good fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven with extractor over, washing machine and microwave. Unusually the kitchen table also doubles up as an impressive pool table. Seating is on stools that tuck underneath during play!

There are three first floor bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: is the master bedroom with ensuite shower room, sleigh style bed and antique style furniture.

Bedroom 2: is another pretty double bedroom.

Bedroom 3: has full sized bunk beds.

Bathroom: the family bathroom is also on the first floor with shower over the bath, basin and WC. There is also the ensuite shower room and ground floor cloakroom.

Exterior: to the rear of the property steep steps lead up to the terraced garden with a picnic bench, barbecue and stunning views across the village to the lake and mountains of Snowdonia. Cycle storage available. Shared parking area to rear - usually possible to park one car - steep steps leading down to the property. On-street parking also available, but is usually taken up by residents.
