Description

Sychnant is a former farmhouse, set amongst rolling hills and fields, on this working farm on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, with views over the fields towards Aberdaron and  Bardsey Island. The house is at the end of a no through farm lane, 4 miles from the beach at Aberdaron, 8 miles from Abersoch and approximately 12 miles from Pwllheli.

Ground Floor: porch and entrance into a small hallway, with staircase to the first floor, sitting room to the left and kitchen diner to the right. The farmhouse has oil-fired central heating.

Kitchen Diner: Fitted kitchen with electric cooker (double oven and ceramic hob), microwave, fridge; dining table and four chairs; additional folding chairs available.

Sitting Room: with three-seater leather sofa and armchair, additional tub chair and small bean bag, electric fire, flat scree Freeview TV and DVD player. Beyond the sitting room are:

Shower Room: with electric shower in cubicle, WC, basin.

Utility Room: with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and door to patio area.

First Floor:

Bedroom 1: a double bedroom with pine furniture and pine-clad ceiling.

Bedroom 2 a second double bedroom with beamed ceiling.

Bedroom 3: a compact room with full sized pine bunk beds and pine-clad ceiling.

Bathroom: fully tiled walls and pine ceiling, contemporary suite comprising bath, WC and basin.

Outside: there is a small patio area to the front, with picnic bench and garden chairs, stone walling with access through onto a grassed area between the farmhouse and the barn opposite;  garden bench; views over the fields towards Aberdaron and Bardsey Island at the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula. The garden is enclosed.

Parking: adjacent to the house.

The coastal village of Aberdaron, 4 miles away, has a well-stocked local shop/Post Office, a bakery, a choice of pubs, an award winning fish and chip shop selling local seafood, and a choice of cafes, as well as the National Trust’s Porth y Swnt local history exhibition. This is the ideal spot from which to explore the beaches and coastline of the Lleyn Peninsula, including Abersoch, Llanbedrog and Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth), with local horse riding, sea fishing and water sports all within a short distance. The National Trust property, Plas yn Rhiw, is also nearby, along with miles of National Trust coastline and the Wales Coast Path. The bustling town and marina at Pwllheli are just 12 miles away.
