Nestled by the harbour with the stunning views that a location like this affords, the property overlooks the River Esk with views towards Whitby and overlooks the Marina. For steam train enthusiasts, superb views of these iconic trains can be seen arriving and leaving Whitby Station.

The property sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms one with en suite and is within walking distance of Whitby town and all it has to offer. This delightful riverside property benefits from stylish, quality furniture, oak doors, large windows to sit and watch the ever-changing scenery and oozes quality at every turn.

The location of No. 5 The Old Sail Loft is ideal for exploring all the attractions of historic Whitby with its famous 199 steps leading to the Cistercian Whitby Abbey, said to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, famous eateries such as The Magpie and Andrew Pern’s Star Inn The Harbour, superb fish and chip shops, cafes, restaurants and so much more.  Whitby caters for everyone whether you like history, the surrounding stunning walkways and cycleways for those of an energetic nature or the magnificent North York Moors where nature abounds at every turn and where there is something interesting to see whatever the season.

You may wish to venture further afield, and No. 5 The Old Sail Loft is a perfect base to go exploring the nearby seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey or go inland to the picturesque villages of Thornton Le Dale or Hutton Le Hole, even their names conjure up romantic ideals of quaint Yorkshire villages.

Kitchen/Lounge/Dining Room: A light and airy contemporary open plan space with views over the River Esk and the harbour; a super room to sit and watch the boats sail in and out and steam trains go by. In the well-equipped kitchen you will find a ceramic hob, electric oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, everything to prepare a meal using freshly cooked local food. There are two comfy three-seater sofas, a Smart TV with Netflix and YouTube, coffee table, sideboard, dining table and chairs.  This is a lovely space in which to relax with a glass of something tasty after a day exploring all that Whitby has to offer.
Bedroom 1: King size bed with grey padded headboard, bedside cabinets with matching bedside lights, double wardrobe, chair and local artwork, a lovely tranquil room overlooking the River Esk towards the bridge.
En suite: Shower, toilet, washbasin.
Bedroom 2: Beautifully and stylishly decorated with a king size bed with grey padded headboard, matching bedside cabinets with tall lamps.  Pretty, soft furnishings, a comfy chair and wardrobe complete the décor.  Soft lighting is provided by wall uplighters.
Bedroom 3: King size bed, bedside cabinet with lamp, chair.
Bathroom: This good-sized room incorporates a white bathroom suite including a bath with thermostatic shower over and shower curtain, decorative white tiling, tiled floor and storage.

Parking: Private allocated parking space for one car in front of the property. There are a few additional visitors parking spaces; please ensure that only these are used for additional vehicles and not the other numbered spaces.
Garden/Patio: Shared area with outside seating.

A fantastic property , clean, comfortable and very well equipped, they have left nothing out, it is in a great location, quiet but very easy access to the town and to all the lovely cliff top and countryside walks, with the added bonus of a parking space this property is a winner and we will definitely be returning in the near future.We would recommend it to anyone.
