It occupies a prominent position in a quiet exclusive development of luxury houses in the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Aldeburgh.  It is located within 10 minutes’ walk of all the facilities on the High Street whilst the famous Scallop sculpture by Maggi Hambling on the beach is only a 5-minute stroll away.  With premium quality styling throughout, the property comes with a really spacious living area on the ground floor that flows from kitchen to a large dining area and through double doors to a generously proportioned, comfortable lounge with a woodburning stove. This is a house ideal for get-togethers of families and friends with sociable spaces and quality British handcrafted furniture and designer furnishings. The large garden is peaceful, private and secure and is perfect for outdoor eating or evening drinks. The themes of sea, space and light are evident throughout this special property. In addition, the convenience of four great bathrooms makes the house a highly sought-after property. The top floor bedroom benefits from the Velux balcony.

Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings with a variety of quality shops, restaurants and art galleries.  The nearby Alde estuary and Thorpeness Meare offer a great variety of water-based activities.

Reviews

This property was fantastic and provided us with a great holiday, it was very well equipped, very comfortable and in a lovely position close to Aldeburgh High street and the beach

Mr K,

Excellent for large family holidays. Easy walking to beach, restaurants and shops.

Mr B,

The house was great. Really well located for beach, town and walking to local supermarkets and Thorpeness. Unfortunately the information on website and in emails is a little outdated. It mentioned there was a garage that could be used to store bikes in and the like. Unfortunately and understandably, once arrived, it made reference in the house file that the garage is now locked out of use due to repeat previous renters not locking the door correctly. We worked around it, by storing the bikes in our cars, but it would be tricky potentially for future renters with adult size bikes without knowing before arrival. Also we were unable to find the highchair or bbq, which I assume are locked in there too. However we worked around these issues.

Mr Chris B,
