PROPERTY NAME: 49 St Nicholas Court

PROPERTY CONTSRUCTION: Brick

PARKING: Space 49 in the shared garage.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY: Unload on the slipway off Porthmeor Road outside the entrance to the property. Do not leave your car unattended. Alternatively you can load/un-load from your allocated parking space in the private St Nicholas Court car park.

PROPERTY ACCESS: Please note that Flat 49 is accessed from the side of St Nicholas Court fron the Slipway to Porthmeor Beach. Walk down tarmac slipway (slightly uneven) to front communal entrance door on the right. 2 Steps up to shared hallway. No handrail. No further steps to enter flat.

PROPERTY INFORMATION:

STAIRS/STEPS: There are no internal stairs.

FLOORING: Carpet flooring throughout except in the bathroom and kitchen which have lino flooring. Edging strip seperates living and kitchen area.

BEDROOMS: Single beds are pushed together wth access to one side of each bed only.

BATHROOMS: Shower over bath with a shower curtain.

LIVING AREA: Cord pull blinds to windows.

Description

Located off the slipway to the surfing beach at Porthmeor, it is just a few steps to the golden sand from the apartment and a few minutes walk to the town and harbour at St Ives or on to the coast path. There are super sea and beach views from the living area and bedroom.

Living/Dining/Kitchen Area: With views down to the beach and sea, the living area having a Smart TV, and Bluetooth Ruark audio system, double futon bed, pine dresser, chest of drawers and dining furniture. There is a dining table and chairs and the well equipped open-plan kitchen includes and electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washer/dryer.

Bedroom: There are two comfy 3ft beds, bedside storage and a large fitted wardrobe. Both the living room and bedroom have a side view to Porthmeor Beach, which is  just a few steps away.

Bathroom: The good size bathroom includes a shower over bath, wash basin, heated towel rail and WC. The apartment has a large entrance hall with two storage cupboards, airing cupboard and surf board storage. 

Power and Heat: Electricity included in rent; electric heaters and towel rail.
Parking: On-site parking for one car in secure communal garage. Space No. 49 (approximately 15ft L x 6ft 6" wide).
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided, please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: Not provided but may be hired.
Shop: 0.1 mls. Pub: 0.2 mls.

NOTES: No smoking. Wifi provided. Mobile phone reception varies. Please note that numbers 49 and 1 St Nicholas Court share a communal entrance hall and are opposite each other making it ideal accommodation for two parties wishing to holiday together.

The location of the property is the main selling point. The property is good size and well equipped. We liked the decor and the attention to detail (art was beautiful and not just commercial cheesy beach paintings, books were interesting and helpful etc) The furniture was of good quality and comfortable. There were only a few points to note - there were parts that weren’t clean (i.e. lamp in the kitchen was greasy and sticky, cob webs on lampshades and in corners etc) We were there over Easter and it was quite cold at night as the quilts were thin. There was extra quilts and pillows but no extra linen so we couldn’t use it. And though having an allocated parking space is amazing in St Ives, please note that the space is very tight. Our car is average size and there were times when I’d park the car and not be able to get out of the space. These are all small things that can be easily fixed. Other than that, we had an amazing holiday and will definitely return to 49 St Nicholas Court and recommend it to anyone who will listen.

Easy booking system, kept me informed by text and email, with all instructions for cottage. The cottage was well equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, plates, glasses cups etc. Very comfortable bed and furnishings. Free Wifi, and BT internet and Netflix, very impressed. Overall a lovely holiday. The only downside was that the parking space was very tight, on the last day I had to literally climb over my car bonnet to get to the drivers door, (Im 65 !!) no space to walk between cars or walls. We did park it on the island for a few nights prior to this. apart from this, - overall 5 star thank you

Location

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist. It's easy to understand why the town has been attracting painters, sculptors and ceramists for decades with its stunning scenery and natural quality of light- one of only four Tate Galleries in the world is located here in the heart of the town. The town itself arcs around the working harbour- the heart of the historic fishing community. You could lose yourself for hours in the charming cobbled streets which are crammed with gift and craft shops, art galleries, top notch restaurants and welcoming local pubs- a real treasure trove just waiting to be explored!

St Ives also has four fabulous beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour beach and Porthminster which between them offer miles of golden sand and hours of building sand castles, playing in the rock pools and other family friendly activities. Dogs are welcomed out of season. Throughout the year, St Ives has a busy event calendar including the St Ives Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September.
