PROPERTY CONSTRUCTION:  Brick

PARKING: No allocated parking. Nearest car park is The Island Car Park.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY: Loading and unloading available from the slipway to Porthmeor Beach just outside the entrance to the property. Alternatively you could park up in The Island Car Park and load/un-load from here just a minute or 2 walk away.

PROPERTY ACCESS: Please note that Flat 1 is accessed from the side of St Nicholas Court fron the Slipway to Porthmeor Beach. Walk down tarmac slipway (slightly uneven) to front communal entrance door on the right. 2 Steps up to shared hallway. No handrail. No further steps to enter flat.

PROPERTY INFORMATION:

FLOORING: The lounge and bedroom have carpet flooring. The kitchen, hallway and bathroom both have tiled floors.

BEDROOMS: Unrestricted access around bed. Bedroom is separated from the living and kitchen areas by curtains.

Description

Situated on the slipway, just feet away from the golden sands of Porthmeor Beach its location makes it the perfect property for a couple to relax all year round. One well behaved dog is welcome.

The comfortable living area has a window seat in which to enjoy the partial views of the golden, sandy beach and sea, there is also a Smart TV and Klipsch Bluetooth speaker. The bedroom area is just off the lounge with a 4ft 6in bed. To the rear is a spacious and well equipped kitchen/diner with an induction hob and electric cooker, fridge and washer/dryer. The large recently renovated bathroom is fitted with a bath, separate shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. 

Power and Heat: Electricity included in rent; electric heaters.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided, please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: Not provided but may be hired.
Pets: One dog allowed for an additional charge.
Shop: 0.1 mls. Pub: 0.2 mls.

Parking: No parking at the property however you can briefly park outside the front door to unload.

Very well appointed renovations and decorations have taken place since my last stay a couple of years ago. In particular the whole bathroom is now really excellent, and the kitchen decor refreshed, with some new appliances. I'll have no hesitation in booking again !

The location of the property was perfect! Literally right on Porthmeor Beach slipway. Although this means there is constant noise from passing footfall, kids screaming, balls bouncing and cars etc. It was noisy pretty much from 5am - late into the night, so this isn't a property to relax in. The kitchen cupboards had a musty smell, some drawer handles were missing and there were only 3 glasses. Also, the property only has one window in the lounge. There are no other windows so it was quite claustrophobic. The sofa was covered in sand on arrival, we had to get the vacuum out and we found multiple pieces of glass on the lounge floor. I've stayed in 5 different St Nicholas court properties and I would return to them all except this one. St ives holidays were very quick to help though when we requested a fan and had an issue with the key, so no fault on their part.

Enjoyed our stay there liked the property , the shower leaked and the floor needed mopping after each use , and the property smelled musty made use of the dehumidifier that was at the property.apart from those small points really enjoyed our stay there .

This property was very clean and spacious the view from the window seat is great ! I would highly recommend this appartment it’s had a new bathroom since last time I came which enhances things more so lots of room the pictures do not do this place justice ! Perfect for just watching the waves crash and beautiful sunsets ! I’ve booked again ! This will be my 3rd visit :)

Location

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist. It's easy to understand why the town has been attracting painters, sculptors and ceramists for decades with its stunning scenery and natural quality of light- one of only four Tate Galleries in the world is located here in the heart of the town. The town itself arcs around the working harbour- the heart of the historic fishing community. St Ives also has four fabulous beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour beach and Porthminster which between them offer miles of golden sand and hours of building sand castles, playing in the rock pools and other family friendly activities. Dogs are welcomed out of season. Throughout the year, St Ives has a busy event calendar including the St Ives Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September.
