Description

Rose Cottage offers a touch of luxury in a gorgeous little cottage for two.  The property is situated on a farm just outside the pretty village of Boughton Monchelsea, which lies on a ragstone ridge sitting between the North Downs and the Weald of Kent.  The cottage offers spacious and comfortable accommodation which has been furnished to a very high standard with a cosy wood burning stove to chase away those chilly evenings. Explore the countryside and enjoy a relaxing walk from your doorstep or why not follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims along the North Downs Way?  The property is well situated for visiting Leeds Castle or a bit further afield Canterbury Cathedral. Maidstone has a rich and colourful history and is a lively bustling town full of cafes, bars and restaurants.  Making the most of your holiday in and around this area is easy with golf courses and parks, which are great for picnics and during the summer months play host to a variety of entertainments including outdoor theatre, music festivals and concerts. It's also a great place for messing about in boats, whether you choose a traditional rowing boat on the lake at Mote Park or perhaps rent a boat to explore the River Medway while taking in a few of the quaint villages along the way.

Reviews

The accessibility and layout is very good, with the hosts being lovely.

Mr G,

Lorraine and Richard were very welcoming and helpful, Rose Cottage is a fantastic place to stay for a couple with or without their dogs, for a short break or a longer stay, the cottage is a credit to L & R, everything has been thought of and no corners have been cut, all mod cons, and was ultra clean and tidy, private off road parking right outside of Rose Cottage, private secluded small garden with a 6’ fence, so safe for dogs, and countryside walks right from the doorstep where you can let your dogs off the lead. Plenty of Kent history to visit and not a million miles from all the seaside attractions. In a nutshell, and in my opinion, Rose Cottage has it all, I would stay at Rose Cottage again in a heart beat. Steve.

Mr M,

The property is set in a country area, on a working farm, with large machinery. It didn't bother us. Rose Cottage was very comfortable for 2 people and our dog, cosy woodburner, comfortable furniture, and safe garden

Mrs D,

The owner was most welcoming with a lovely cake and bottle of wine to greet us on arrival. Facilities were excellent and the owner was extremely helpful. We thoroughly recommend this property and the host.

Mr S,

Location was perfect for us as we were visiting our family in Kent. We were able to walk out of the doors with the dogs for hour long walks. The cottage itself was perfect with a comfortable bed, lovely living room, nice kitchen and a perfect enclosed garden which was used more than expected as the weather was superb for October.

Mr M,

A lovely detached property in a great location with plenty of room for two people. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

Mrs G,

Rose cottage was spotlessly clean, everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. Great dog walks from the door and a good location for visiting all Kent ..

Mr Karl M,

Rose Cottage was a lovely comfortable stay down to every little detail. The kitchen was well equipped and we really enjoyed the gift of the wine and cake! The garden area was an added bonus and it was reassuring knowing it was securely enclosed so doggy could go out there safely. Good location to explore local parks, nature reserves and the nearby Goat Sanctuary. Thank you

Mrs W,

It was perfect. There was everything you needed, utensils, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer, all cleaning materials. The bed was comfortable, the shower immaculatel. Not a spot of dust anywhere. The cottage was delightful to stay in. And an added bonus was a bottle of milk, a bottle of wine and a delicious chocolate cake was provided by Lorraine on our arrival. I will return sometime next year if I can. A big thank you to the owners for making our stay a wonderful time.

Mrs Carol H,

This cottage and location was excellent for me and my partner. Lorraine the owner was exceptionally helpful when we spoke on the phone a couple of days earlier about having flowers in our cottage for my girlfriend she was only too happy to help and when we arrived there was even milk, chocolate cake and a bottle of wine waiting.we really enjoyed the visit and we will be going back to rose cttage

Mr W,

The property was extremely clean, well laid out and a joy to stay in. The additional extras that the hose supplied was very much appreciated. It was easy to get to a variety of places and plenty of local walks.

Mrs R,

Cottage was wonderful. Very well equipped, very clean and had everything we needed for a weeks stay.

Mr Ian T,

Excellent stay and perfect stay with everything we needed...
