Reviews

We had a lovely break at the Bolthole. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, the dog loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was a real bonus. The owner was very helpful too. We would thoroughly recommend it!

Mrs S,

The Bolthole was very comfortable, warm & well equipped. A lot of thought has gone into the place, shown by all the special little touches, especially in the kitchen & bathroom. This was our first holiday as dog owners so we didn’t know what to expect, but everything our pup needed, we had at hand. Thank you for giving us a wonderful week.

Mrs C,

What a lovely place to stay. Could not fault it. Will definitely be going back. The owners should be very proud of what they have achieved a complete relaxing place to stay.

Mrs R,

Wonderful, host Andrew was lovely & very informative, area was was beautiful. The bolthole has everything that you need, bed was very comfy, hot tub was fabulous. We loved our week away, very relaxing chilled week, with a couple of short car journeys to a beach so our labrador Buddy could have a long run-around, he loved the beach & loved chasing rabbits at the bolthole. ( he never caught one) :) had few lovely walks in local woods too.

Mrs O,

We enjoyed our stay at The Bolthole very much. It really was a home from home. The attention to detail provided by the owners with regard to all amenities at the property for our stay was amazing, including the provisions for our dog - everything had been provided for our comfort. I am definitely planning a return trip and will be recommending to family and friends.

Mrs J,

Amazing break highly recommended we stayed at the Bolthole the amenities was to high standards will definitely go back

Mrs K,

Such a peaceful getaway in the middle of the countryside. The large picture windows meant you felt connected to nature even when you were inside. The place was so dog friendly - the enclosed garden, provision of dog towels, dog blankets, a paw washing station and more! Hosts were so accommodating and helpful, we had lovely break away x

Miss M,

This cottage was the best equipped and best stocked we've ever been to. Very comfortable in a lovely, peaceful location. Will definitely return.

Mr A,

We had the best week ever at the bolthole , it was an absolute dream inside is beautiful and has everything you need and outside the jucuzzi and chimney made it so much more special ,we are definitely going back . The dog loved the garden and they even had a wash to cool him down . Amazing place , a slice of heaven , we didn’t want to leave .

Mrs F,

This was the best holiday I've ever been on. My partner and I came here to celebrate out 5th anniversary, it was absolutely beautiful. The quality of everything was superb and i loved the welcome package when we arrived. My partner proposed to me infront of the lit chiminea under the stars. A very romantic location with some gorgeous local pubs to visit as well as plenty of walks. We would definitely come back.

Mr W,

This property is beautiful, the property is in a good location easy to get to things like shops and pubs, and restaurants, but it feels like you are a million miles away in the middle of nowhere whilst sitting relaxing in the hot tub. This property is equipped with more than you'd expect from a property the standard of everything is high from the quality of towels to the bedding and the luxury hot tub. I would return without a second thought and would love to also stay at the Boathouse their other property on the land.

Mrs W,

Exceeded expectations, was exactly what we needed and there was so much attention to detail, everything had been thought of it was an amazing, very relaxing break. Thank you so much to Andrew and Heather, will definitely be booking another stay soon!

Miss J,

We had a wonderful time at The Bolthole. Everything is so well thought out from the outdoor dog washing station (with warm water) to the bathroom amenities and welcome pack. We felt so welcome and at home! We were in the area for an event so didn’t get to explore as much as we’d have liked - We’ll definitely be back!

Mrs C,

Lovely stay, comfy and clean

Mrs Penny G,

Just back from a wonderful, relaxing few days at the Bolthole with my dog Jesse. Heather and Andrew at Plush huts were lovely, friendly and very welcoming hosts, and the Bolthole was everything we were looking for, from the accommodation with every need catered for, to the enclosed garden, which Jesse loved. The setting was peaceful and private, and within easy distance to explore some of Kent and Sussex. We would love to stay again. Thank you :)

Mrs I,

Wow, what can I say. From the moment we pulled into our parking bay, I knew I was going to love this place. The surrounding areas as you drive in are stunning and then the actual location is breathtaking. The huts are in keeping with the surroundings and everything inside has been carefully considered to make your stay as comfortable as possible, there is nothing more you could wish for. The huts are clean and bright with large windows to allow you to take in the amazing views. The hot tub is located to the back of the property to give you privacy and star gaze in the evening. We didn’t have a dog with us, but if you do, there are dog towels, beds and even a warm water wash for them at the end of a muddy walk. Maps are provided to allow you to explore the local area and the three chimney’s pub is a must visit. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful idillic venue. Thank you Andrew for being such a wonderful host too.

Mrs Eve F,
