Runham sits in a unique landscape under the big open skies that Norfolk is so famous for and its location close to the east coast beaches and within The Broads National Park, means that you have the best of both worlds on your doorstep. The area is relatively flat and makes fantastic cycling country, try your hand at The Broads Explorer loop. The coast hosts some beautiful sandy beaches; Winterton-on-Sea and Horsey are less than 20 minutes away. At Horsey get up close and personal with the resident seal colony and if you are visiting in the winter, the seal pups will melt your heart. The Broads National Park boasts 125 miles of inlets and waterways to explore, seek out the Canoe Man who will take you in a kayak to explore some of the quieter reaches of the river systems – a perfect escape from your everyday world, or enjoy a guided wildlife trip on a larger boat at nearby Horsey Mere. Car enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Caister Castle Car Collection in the summer months, one of the largest privately owned collections in the country. The children will enjoy taking to the raised walkways at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens for a unique view of its Asian animal inhabitants or an outing to the resident Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth. For walkers, Weaver’s Way is easily accessible with plenty of circular routes within it. Spoilt for choice, this is a great part of Norfolk, come and discover it for yourself, you won’t regret it.

Reviews

Lovely accommodation, would definitely stay again.

Miss B,

We had a lovely stay at Chestnut Barn, it is spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a break away in Norfolk. It is close to lovely beaches and many other attractions, so is a good base to travel out to places. We would defintely recommend to friends and family:

Mr P,

What an amazing place to stay. We had a wonderful holiday exploring around the barn and further a field. Lots to do a short distance away. The Barn was so comfortable and relaxing with everything we needed. It was quiet and relaxing and certainly want to return.

Mrs W,

This is a charming cottage set in a lovely part of the country. It is comfortable and well thought out. There is plenty to do and see in the area covering a huge range of options. A good choice.

Mr C,

Never got told it was next to residently Holmes’s

Mrs Kim D,

Beautiful, Barn well-equipped loved the idea of the mini shop. The only negative is the neighbour and the tv noise/ shouting otherwise would definitely recommend. We would definitely go back and our puppy loved it.

Mrs Clare B,

The property is very tastefully decorated, it has almost everything you would need. The welcome pack was gratefully received too. The outdoor space is perfect for the dogs, it is enclosed by short wire fencing so they are secure. The parking spaces are a bonus. You are tucked away enough to enjoy the quiet whilst being a short drive to lots of busy seaside resorts. Our dogs are older so the walks were shorter, but there are plenty of places straight out of your front gate for lovely walks.

Mrs P,

Lovely quiet location, good walks around the area. Well appointed property had a lovely stay and will definitely visit again. Dog loved the chesterfield dog bed provided. Welcome treats were nice and the option to purchase more was a lovely idea. Fresh eggs and home maid jam available from a couple of houses in the village.

Mrs C,

Gorgeous, spacious & peaceful. Please note there is only 1 toilet, which is in the bathroom, should anyone be using the shower/bath and the door doesn't close easily. There is no privacy when at the dining table end if the room from the joined nextdoor barn, just plain glass partition, no blinds. The back bedroom 'Emma' super king-size bed is out if this world (yes, I had to look to find the label) never slept so well! Please, a non dribble teapot would be fab!! Had a wonderful time!
