The village of Catfield is an excellent base for exploring The Broads and the excellent beaches of the North and East coast. The sandy beach at Sea Palling is a mere four miles from the cottage with Cromer, Sheringham and Great Yarmouth are all within any easy drive away. The Broads offer many experiences whether exploring nature reserves, cycling the quiet lanes, taking a stroll, sailing, fishing or birdwatching. The nearby town of Stalham is just two miles, offering a supermarket and a range of small shops, and is home to the Museum of The Broads. Catfield has a village shop and a pub, as does neighbouring Ludham. Standing proud on the banks of the River Ant, How Hill is just a stones’ throw away. It is a lovely spot where you can explore the house, gardens, enjoy afternoon tea in the coffee shop, walk along the nature reserve and, during the summer months, board a traditional Wherry.

Reviews

We found Church Cottage to be a very charming and comfortable cottage., in such a quiet location. The cottage was excellent for visiting the surrounding area and the enclosed garden was perfect for our small dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Mrs Angela S,

A really lovely quirky cottage. We enjoyed our time there immensely. Would recommend.
