West Runton is an appealing seaside village nestled into the north Norfolk coastal landscape.  It offers a family friendly beach with crabbing and fossil hunting and there is a pub, grocers, station, two cafe's, Rocky Bottom the local fish restaurant, a gym, golf and swimming all to be found within half a mile of the cottage's front door.  To the east discover the resort of Cromer with its famous pier and cliff top walks and further along this stretch of the coast are numerous flat, sandy beaches that are often not over populated even in the summer.  Head west and discover the open marshes at Stiffkey and Cley-next-the-Sea and seaside villages such as Blakeney and Wells-next-the-Sea, each with their own unique character.  With great pubs, delis, smokehouses, farmshops and cafe's there are plenty of places that showcase the produce that Norfolk is justifiably famous for such as crabs, mussels, cheeses, wines and more. The area is rich in history too with Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall both run by the National Trust and Holkham Hall, the seat of the Earl of Leicester, which is still an independent family-run estate all nearby.  This is a wonderful part of the county and a holiday here will bring back many happy memories for years to come.

Reviews

We received a very warm welcome from the owners. The cottage was presented excellently and very comfortably furnished with everything we needed during our stay. There were several unexpected items to surprise and delight us, a basket containing towels for the dogs, poo bags, treats and tags for their collars with the owners details, which we thought was a great idea for them to wear during their stay. There was very tasty shortbread biscuits and lindt chocolates for us, all were a lovely surprise. I would definitely recommend.

Mrs J,

We had a lovely week in Vine Cottage and we are looking forward to booking again. An excellent location & a warm welcome. The cottage was very clean, warm & cosy & well equipped. The garden is well fenced & private.

Mrs C,

Wonderful cottage and enclosed garden for the dog. Very well equipped, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Excellent location. Will return.

Ms H,

The property was very easy to find and as arrived an immediate welcome from the property owners. :) The cottage is extremely comfortable, lounge and bedrooms. We brought a few extras equipment wise for cooking but needn't have bothered as kitchen is well equipped. Definitely book again when next in area.

Mr W,

A lovely cottage immaculately presented. The owners introducers themselves and were lovely people. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Mrs C,

We didn’t know that West Runton village was down a very steep hill which meant we had to drive but the cottage was so lovely that we would book again.

Previous Customer,

Cottage was in a great location and was extremely clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Miss Joanne W,

Only improvement identified was the need for a Smart TV, which we appreciate may be difficult with the poor WI-FI in the area.

Mr Paul M,

Lovely location, a very high standard property. Very thoughtful touches like a hose outside to clean our dog; a dog tag in case our dog got lost; throws for our dog to sit on the sofa. Friendly owners. A helpful page of local information for the week we were there
