Description

Relax and truly unwind at this superb, award-winning barn that lies in the middle of its own mini conservation area, teeming with wildlife. With chances to spot the barn owl who nests at The Barn, to see pheasants, hares and deer, and to enjoy walks from the front door, The Barn is a serene rural getaway. A private walled rose and honeysuckle garden has two large, paved patios with plenty of outdoor furniture and a BBQ, providing an idyllic space to sit back and make the most of a lazy summer’s afternoon.

The Barn is spacious and light-filled, with beams, a high vaulted ceiling in the main living space and large windows: this is a fantastic area to settle back and unwind in. There is a gallery that overlooks this room and a beautiful wooden curling staircase that leads to the first-floor bedrooms. Alongside the living area is a sociable dining space, ideal for getting together to chat about the day and get ready for tomorrow’s adventures, and there is a stylish and well-equipped kitchen, which is a pleasure to cook in.  All the bedrooms in the property can be made up as either super king or twin beds. There is a ground floor bedroom and family bathroom, and the two upstairs bedrooms both have en-suite shower rooms. The Barn at Moor Hall is a beautiful holiday home and one of our favourites; it could become yours too.  Shop/Pub: 2.5 miles

Sitting towards the edge of the fabulous Glaven Valley, The Barn at Moor Hall is in the middle of a rural conservation area teaming with wildlife. It is four miles from the traditional shops and eateries of Holt, from where one can also take a steam train to Weybourne or the seaside town of Sheringham. National Cycle Routes 2 & 3 sit to the east and west. The area is full of small villages; Hunworth, Stody and Heydon are definitely worth a visit. With a traditional baker, shops, pubs and two of the county's most renowned butchers in neighbouring Briston and Melton Constable, this is a great centre for exploring North Norfolk.

Reviews

Slightly tricky to get there but once you arrive, you should find it worth it. Peaceful and very pleasant surroundings. I tried but i could not fault it.

Mr B,

The Barn at Moor Hall is really delightful. It’s in the middle of nowhere making it the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Norfolk countryside. However it is also close enough to travel to a number of coastal areas.

Mrs B,

Beautiful location with a view from bedrooms above - very comfortable and very well equipped - including well thought out provisions provided.

Mr S,

A really fabulous barn, immaculately furnished and equipped with wonderfully detailed guest information. We loved the tennis court and the tranquil location.
