If you can tear yourself away from those amazing panoramic views, a footpath leads directly from the communal gardens down to the beach, where for long leisurely days spent by the sea you are also able to hire a beach hut. The village of Croyde with its pretty thatched cottages or the bustling village of Braunton are both nearby and offer a great choice of pubs, shops and restaurants. For golf enthusiasts a short stroll will find you at the Saunton Sands championship golf course, open to non members.
