Wow, what a location! There aren’t many cottages in the Lake District that are closer to Windermere Lake than you are at Holly Nook. Stand next to the shore at the end of your garden, with the hills spread out before you and use your private jetty to get out on the lake.

Positioned right in Waterhead, you can nip out for a meal or a drink at the Waterhead Hotel or the Watersedge just hundreds of yards away or take the level 10 minute walk into Ambleside for an even greater choice of pubs, restaurants or shops so you can stock up and look after yourselves in your fully equipped home-from-home. There are so many famous Ambleside walks that are accessible right from your door - leave your car parked outside the property and head to Skelghyll woods with its waterfall, go up Loughrigg, over to Troutbeck or even set out to conquer the Fairfield Horseshoe.

With great access to the A591 you can easily drive out to Windermere or head further into the heart of the lakes visiting Keswick, or Grasmere and the villages in Langdale. It truly is a case of “location, location, location” with the whole of Cumbria so easily accessible by car.

Holly Nook has private gated parking and well enclosed gardens sheltered from neighbouring properties. It has an unconventional layout having been added to over the years but it’s all on one level and the modern additions are spacious which should be of benefit to people with a wide variety of capabilities. The modern living room and more traditional master bedroom have great windows which really make the most of those views out across the garden, the lake and the fells beyond; imagine waking up to that every day of your holiday!

Feel yourself sinking into the scenery by enjoying a tipple on the deck outside the patio doors surrounded by those views and who knows, you may even get some evening sunshine to help make the perfect sunset scene.

If the weather’s not so friendly you can enjoy the Sky TV, the wifi and the benefits of 2 separate living areas in the modern living room/diner and, across the entrance hall, the kitchen/dining room (each with its own patio) meaning that while you go away together, you can still spread out and fill the space doing your own thing. There’s a house bathroom and an extra shower room with WC affording flexible living whoever you bring with you.

With four bedrooms there’s plenty of room to bring all your family or a couple of small families, and even your four-legged friend is welcome here, and why not since they’ll be itching to get out and investigate the countryside and the dog-friendly pubs with you.

We’re only just launching this property and it’s already filling up for 2017, so to see more and to book your holiday in this luxury Lake District cottage online click here.
