Active Cottage Holidays
Why would you want to laze about on your holidays, when you can make the most of every second?
Life is for living, and on an active holiday that’s exactly what you’ll be doing. Running, climbing, exploring, cycling, riding, swimming, surfing, laughing, sharing, these are holidays where you won’t waste a second. Why not try a new sport – canyoning, land yachting, white water rafting, coasteering – these are new activities for the modern holidaymaker. Some are scary, some are not for the faint-hearted, but all are without doubt fun and exhilarating.
But being active doesn’t have to mean living life on the edge either. Many of our active cottages are also perfectly suitable for walkers and cyclists looking to explore the countryside or coastline of Britain.
The South West Coast Path running through Devon, Cornwall and Dorset is ideal for active holidaymakers. The path covers over 630 miles of relentless coastline, packed with wildlife, stunning views and sandy beaches.
For cyclists, Yorkshire may be the ideal choice. Home to the start of the Tour de France in 2014, the county is now etched into cycling history. Take the opportunity to stay in one of our active cottages in Yorkshire and follow in the footsteps of some of the sport’s biggest names.
Or really throw yourself into extreme sports in Wales. The country is synonymous with white water rafting and zip lining experiences, meaning you will never be far from an adventure centre packed with activities for all levels of experience and skill.
