Trevone Bay holiday cottages

Just 2 miles away from busy Padstow is the hidden gem Trevone Bay. With two sandy beaches, lots of local shops, tearooms, pubs and cliff paths, Trevone Bay is a great spot for a relaxing coastal break. Our cottages in Trevone Bay range from intimate boltholes for two to large family homes, including unique properties such as barn conversions and bungalows. You’ll also find homes in Trevone Bay among our collections of dog-friendly and luxury cottages in Cornwall. Whether you’re looking to explore the surf-crazy beaches of the north with the kids, or you want a relaxed couple’s retreat spent walking along the coast path and enjoying good food, you can do it all from a cottage in Trevone Bay.

There are two beautiful beaches surrounded by cliffs and rocks in Trevon Bay. One, its namesake, has golden sand and sheltered coves and is perfect for building sand castles. The other known as Rocky Beach has rock pools for fishing nets, and at low tide a natural swimming pool forms, perfect for swimmers and paddlers – it's a real draw and offers safe bathing as it is lifeguarded all summer. For walkers and wanderers, the cliff path leads from Trevone out along the sea edge to Padstow in one direction and Trevone Head in the other with amazing views! We specifically recommend climbing the steps to the top of the lighthouse, where you can enjoy unparalleled sea vistas.

Trevone Bay also has one particularly unusual feature, its very own blowhole! There’s a great deal of hearsay and local mythology around the origins of the crater, but one thing is for sure, it’s a sight to behold. While we do recommend taking a look, please do so at a safe distance and don’t be tempted to get close, as the hole is 80ft deep. If you are looking for a (safe) thrill, be sure to try surfing or bodyboarding at Harlyn Bay.

Further inland, the village of Trevone Bay has a thriving local population and in summer holds fetes where you can enjoy the coconut shie or join in the 'tug o’ war'. The village also boasts a pub and art gallery, gift shop and tearooms, all locally run and very friendly. Trevone Bay is also in a great spot for accessing the rest of North Cornwall (which includes St Merryn, Treyarnon Bay and Constantine Bay) and you can easily into nearby Padstow for the restaurants, catch a wave at Newquay or step back in time at Tintagel.
