Cottages in North Cornwall

North Cornwall is, and always has been, a favourite holiday destination of many. Whether you’re looking for dog-friendly beaches, wild swimming, countryside walks, good food and drink, or a traditional seaside break, you’ll find it in North Cornwall. We have hundreds of North Cornwall holiday cottages for you to choose from, spread across this diverse and wonderful part of the region. Browse through our collection of cottages by the sea, large family homes, luxury apartments, dog-friendly accommodation and unique period cottages – we guarantee you’ll find your match in our North Cornwall self-catering cottages.

Starting in Bude, the gateway to Cornwall, we have a selection of holiday cottages here for you to take a look at. Despite being one of Cornwall’s top tourist spots, Bude has managed to retain its sense of independence as locally run businesses still rule the roost here. There is a sense of calmness and tranquillity about Bude and most people come here for a relaxing holiday, where days at the beach, fishing, swimming in Bude sea pool (free at the point of entry) and canoeing are the main activities on offer.

If history is a passion of yours, then perhaps a stay in one of our Boscastle or Tintagel cottages would suit you. Boscastle is a deeply historic town, defined by its old buildings and rugged valley that runs into the harbour and sea beyond. There is a Museum of Witchcraft and Magic here – just one of its many quirky things to do. You can walk between the two towns along the South West Coast Path, where you’ll see various historic sites including an Iron Age settlement and fantastic panoramic views of the Cornish coast. Whether you choose to stay in Boscastle or Tintagel, you simply must visit the 13th-century ruins of Tintagel Castle and discover the ancient history that lies here too.

The area surrounding the Camel Valley and Estuary, including Padstow, Wadebridge, Rock and Polzeath on the coast, which is the place to be for sea, sand, surf and seafood. Here we have some truly gorgeous holiday homes and if you’re looking to be right next to the sea and want to spend your days trying new water sports and playing in the sand, we highly recommend either staying or visiting in this area. Check out our range of Padstow cottages, our beautiful Wadebridge lets, our lovely retreats in Rock, or our collection of Polzeath holiday homes.

Finally, we have to mention the heart of Cornwall, Newquay. Our properties in Newquay and the surrounding areas are perfect for families, groups, couples and solo travellers alike, as there truly is something for everyone here. Whether you’re here in summer for the music and surfing festival Boardmasters, or you fancy a half-term break with the kids spent eating ice creams and playing arcade games, Newquay is the place for you.

These are just a few examples of our property locations in North Cornwall, but as you browse through the collection you’ll see just how many places you have to choose from. To help plan your holiday and get more ideas, browse our full Cornwall cottages collection.
