Granta is a comfortable and homely property, which has been in the same family for many years and the current owners have plans to fully renovate. It's quirks and style, however, are more than compensated for by it's fabulous position a few yards from one of North Cornwall's most beautiful beaches and glorious cliff walks along the SW path which runs beside the property. The superb location is literally a stone's throw from Trevone's sandy beach, with beautiful views from the master bedroom on the first floor. Three further bedrooms on the ground floor make this the perfect home-from-home for all the family. The open plan kitchen and dining room, with doors opening onto the secluded back garden, provide a great space for cooking, socialising and enjoying time together. Open the front door and you can be on the beautiful beach or the South West Coast Path within seconds. The beach shop with cafe are right across the road and there's another lovely shop a few minutes walk away at Trevone Farm which caters for all your needs. The popular harbour town of Padstow is less than 2 miles drive away, with it's wonderful array of shops, pubs and restaurants.

The house is wonderful. It is located overlooking Trevone Beach and a few meters away from the beach. It is very comfortable and cosy and very well equipped. The kitchen area was large with space for people to sit around a table chatting or playing games. The owners were quick to respond to a couple of questions and queries and very helpful. Granta is a lovely cottage in a superb position within a stone's throw of the beautiful little beach at Trevone. We had a wonderful holiday there and even though it was September swum every day, often before breakfast, with wonderful hot showers and a comfortable, clean, spacious cottage to come back to. There was a fantastic view of the beach frRead moreom the master bedroom but all the rooms were light and sunny and the beds very comfortable. There is a cafe/bar, surf shop and farm shop close at hand and the nearby garden centre does good meals too. We thoroughly recommend this cottage. Hide

Granta's location makes it worth the cost. It is a pleasant house but so close to the beach that life is very easy once settled in. Great walks, wonderful beach, super bodyboarding, cafe with evening entertainment a short walk away. Glorious sunsets. We loved it.

This is an amazing house so close to the beach that you don't need to plan anything in advance - you can come and go as you please so no arguments! Great kitchen and sititng room, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms.

One of the three toilets would not flush. The front panel of the dish washer came off which made it difficult for us to keep the door open when filling and emptying the dish washer. Although these two things were annoying we actually were very impressed with the property and the supplies provided. The housekeeper was particularly accessible and resRead moreponsive. She was unable to resolve the problems while we were there without further inconveniencing us. We understood the limitations of the issues.. The house was very well equipped, tastefully furnished and comfortable. The appearance of the house could be improved from the outside and the downstairs bathroom could be updated, but it didnt worry us. ( Except the separate loo needs repairing as already mentioned).Its position next to the beach with parking couldnt be better and the village of Trevone is very attractive in a great position between two very different beaches (sand and rock) with an excellent beach shop, cafe and bar and on the coastal path with great walks from the house. We have been very happy with Original Cottages. Its the second time we have used Original Cottages - the first time last year when we rented a property in Norfolk. Good service both times. Hide
